Gerhard Mack: This thing is flimsy. Instead of the picture which had the hole in 2 parts with a sliding channel on the side, I got a thing with 2 holes in 1 piece and just fits in. The pieces fit together poorly. I ended up using a ton of duct tape to cover the air gaps.

On top of that, there is no guard to prevent birds from getting into the air conditioner hoses.

Beach Dude: Not terribly impressed. It's easy enough to install, but the foam that comes with it is very thin and insufficient. One of the clips on the piece that connects to the hose and attaches to plate failed almost immediately...

Sally: I have a Whynter ARC-122DHP portable dual-exhaust A/C, and both original hoses that came with the A/C fit the adapters just fine. I see tiny gaps where the oval adapter sits into the oval cutout of the plate, but I can deal with that. No gaps that I can see for the circle adapter and cutout. For now, the adapters feel sturdy when attached to the cutouts, but I feel like they will start to fall out by themselves over time. We shall see. Overall, this is a great option to have since the original window kit that came with the unit sucked.

Michelle: I was so excited to get this window slide adapter for my portable a/c. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to measure the hoses before ordering, as the unit was way in the back of my storage room. I assumed it would fit, as I figured the holes are "standard". Well, they might be standard for most portable a/c units NOW, but I bought mine about five years ago. Sadly, the holes were way too big for my unit and I had to return.

That said, it looked to be excellent quality. All parts arrived in the box and it was well packaged. The seller was a little delayed in responding to the initial request for return, but I'm not sure if that was their fault; though I requested the return via Amazon's regular return process, when I called a week later to find out what was going on, Amazon rep told me that the seller had never been contacted. They put through the request and I had a response within a day. The seller has been very helpful and communicative ever since. The only bad thing about purchasing from marketplace sellers (as opposed to Amazon directly), is that returns and refunds have to go through them.
