Father's Day Surprise: What do you get for someone who has everything? My husband had ordered a metal detector, but was he surprised?!!! The Gysler telescope was a total shock. It had all the things that he would ever want. He cannot wait to get it far from the city for a better view of the night sky.

TechiedorkTechiedork: After my 12-year-old son received a completely useless "toy" telescope for a birthday present, we decided to research and find a replacement that he could actually use. He is a novice with a huge interest in stargazing, so we wanted to find something that wasn't too expensive, but that would actually allow him to view objects in space. After reading countless 5-star reviews on the Gsyker Telescope, we gave it a shot, and we are so happy. Assembly was extremely simple, and within 30 minutes, we were outside looking at the moon. The build quality is very good - it has weight behind it and is stable when viewing. If I had one minor gripe, it would be that there is no fine control on the tripod, so when using the max magnification tubes, it can be a little tough to center on whatever you are trying to view, but because the tripod is so stable, this is not completely necessary. Overall, we are very happy with this telescope and will get many years of use out of it - the only thing holding us back right now is our terrible winter weather.
I would highly recommend this telescope to anyone looking to get into stargazing who doesn't have a huge budget - you won't be disappointed!

TR.: I got some great pics of the moon with this. Anything past that gets a bit difficult. Aligning the spotter scope is a bit annoying, it also has some “spring” on the mount making need adjustment fairly often.
The telescope is pretty good but keep it away from dust/humidity. If it is a cool night, it can start accumulating quickly on the lenses, reasonable enough to clean, but even being sealed some of the inner lenses got “spotty”.
The biggest setback to regular usage is the “drop” after locking position. Its a small amount, but when aligning at something that far away, its more then enough to force you to gamble on the drop positioning. You can quickly lose a target you just locked on due to the drop and readjusting. It is easy enough to keep readjusting on something close like the moon, but farther or smaller targets can be very discouraging.

Herb Weber: Exactly what I was looking for.
Haven’t tried it outside yet. Still too cold but I’m sure it will work fine.

Rebecca: This telescope might be the most “high-end” product I had ever purchased from Amazon. My parents have loved astrology. Therefore, I had spent some unforgettable summers with them and learnt some basic concepts of astrology. Many years later, as I am now living far away from my hometown, I decided to own a telescope myself. This telescope is really like I dreamed one. The heavier weight shows its good quality and the size is wonderful to storage at my flat. It's fairly easy to set up and powerful enough to give excellent clear views of the major planets such as The Moon, Venus, and Mars at the first several times trials. I am definitely far from an astrological expert, but I am willing to learn more about it. After spent several days on the telescope and adjust different eyepieces for multiple sessions, I had found Mars’ s ice cap, Jupiter with its big red spot, and Saturn and its rings. I really enjoy the time using this telescope and have lots of fun to explore the starry sky. Very happy with this telescope and highly recommend!

juan: This is my first telescope so I'm just a begginner amateur type. I wanted something to observe the moon closer and better because until now I had been using a small ×24 hand telescope. In most cases if you want some quality you need to be ready to spend some money so I was looking for a mid of the range one and I went for this telescope. It didn't dissapoint, quite the opposite. It comes in a branded box all nicely and safely wrapped with all bits and pieces. The main body is big, bigger than it appears on the picture, about 60 to 70cm. This is serious stuff. The tripod is the proffesional type, solid stainless steel big diameter legs, all metal holder and scope body, heavy and robust, very stable not the usual plastic light ones you would find on the cheap scopes. The images of the moon are amazing. It just feels so great to be able to see so close. It comes with an A4 paper with photocolour step by step english instructions on how to assemble the whole thing, very straightforward. I love it. I am now looking forward to many nights of moon watching.

Cynthia: I really appreciate this product arrived on time, it was a huge package, but I can see how well they were being protected during transportation. For me, it was quick and easy to set up using the quick release and join attachment together with no extra tools, even I had to screw them together. Especially, they had image introduction, it was easy to follow, so not to worry if you can't read their introduction. There is an accessory tray that was set down on the middle, its convenient storage of other lenses. I don't have to worry about where to store extra stuff safely. After all the preparations, I was started observing the sky, it produced great images of objects and deep sky.

Andrew Bryan: I bought this telescope for my daughter, after the assembly was complete we tried it out. Could not see through it at all, not sure if pieces were missing inside, but not able to use. And of course there are no telescope repairs shops any where. I called a couple out of the area shops the best they had to offer was "is the lens cap on" big help. Last time I try to save a buck.
