Duckyputter: This little toolset is just great. I got the green one and the blue one for my 7-year-old twin boys and they are perfect for getting them started with real tools. Yes, real tools (no quotations). They are just the right size for their little hands and they love helping me with me honey-do projects. If I could give them 8 stars I would.

Get them. You wonโ€™t be disappointed.

Phil Mathers: Our little 7 year old grandson loves this tool kit. I take him to Home Depot Workshop (free on 1st Saturday every month). He grabs his new tool kit and off we go to build a model _______ (it's different ea. Month and takes about 30 minutes). The tool kit is perfect (I replaced the sharp pointed sizzors with safety sizzors). The kit is quality bag material and easy for him to safely carry. The tools are quality tools that fit into his little hands very well. This tool kit is a beautiful product and the monthly model building trip to Home Depot is great - HOME RUN for Patrick, HOME RUN for this tool kit, HOME RUN FOR Home Depot .... and HOME RUN for Poppy! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. Kind of like a grand slam!

Pattipie: Our 4-yr-old grandson realized his plastic toy tools weren't "real" and was disappointed that he couldn't help Dad and Grandpa with a building project. We bought this tool kit and a kid-size tool belt for his birthday. We were so delighted with them, we gave them to our grandson a month early! The quality was great, the sizes and weights of the tools were perfect for kids, with good handles for safer usage. However, as some other reviewers noted, we did remove the scissors from the set because they were a little too sharp for his age. The tool bag is very similar to Grandpa's, a big plus. My grandson was totally thrilled, and told us, "I really LOVE this, Nana and Grandpa!" (Priceless!) The next day he was helping measure lumber with the tape measure, pulling staples out of the ends of lumber with the pliers, and taking nails out of boards (with supervision). It was a wonderful teaching opportunity - not only about building but about tool safety. Funny side note: my daughter also used the hammer since the men's hammers were too long and heavy for her to swing very long. A real tool kit for kids! Yay!

MatthewsMom: This is a great tool set! Its such a nice set I may just order a set for myself as its got most the basic tools in it, it has nice grips, the screw drivers are good enough that then you put a screw in, the metal on the tip of the screw drivers dont turn to a metal mushy blob, the scissors are really sharp though (too sharp for a young child), just replace those with scissors that you can buy anywhere for a child or just normal scissors. The size of the tools are not tiny. I am a woman, and they are great for me. My 8 year old boy can handle the tools just fine and so they are perfect! He loves his set and he is so proud of it. Whenever I need to fix something around the house he comes running with his set and offers the tools to me or I let him try to do the repair.

The bag is big enough you can add a few more tools to it. I would add a phillips that has a larger end, so a larger phillips or a rachet set with all the tips [...] .
Also, kids size leather gloves of course [...] and a level as kids really enjoy this tool and they learn from it, [...]

One thing I did not do and I would suggest to someone buying this kit, it is to get a...

Ashe: The tools are very durable and exactly what we were looking for -- we were just hoping they would be a slightly smaller size. We got these for my son on his 4th birthday. We were not sure whether to actually give them to him because they are rather large for a 4 year old. I knew from reading the reviews that the scissors would be too sharp. On second glance it seemed many on Amazon were buying this set for 8 year olds. I think that would be a better fit. The screwdrivers have magnetic tips which is helpful, but they are long. They can be awkward for him to use. We did give the set to my son and he loves having his own tools. It will be great for him to grow into, but if I had it to do over again I would look for a smaller set.
