PM Scheier: I needed an expanding foam to try to repair a broken yard ornament. A dog knocked over my resin bust of St Francis with a bird on the shoulder. This foam sprayed inside the broken wing (hollow) did the trick to keep it in place and strong enough to hold squirrels sitting on it.

Beach GirlBeach Girl: This is my sixth pond, and the first time I’ve used a sealant in my waterfall. I am honestly baffled by the great reviews for this product. My experience doesn’t mirror those reviews at all. Yes, it expands to fill a gap, but it does not fill the gap entirely, and water always finds a way. I am not talking about large gaps, I am referring to gaps between a flat rock and the liner. It appears not to expand evenly to the adjacent surface, so spraying the liner and placing a flat rock on top results in trickle gaps under the rock when it seems the entire surface should have been covered. It doesn’t aggressively adhere to anything but itself and the paper towels and gloves I used. I am able to peel old product right off the rocks - that is, if it is still attached to the rock. This product was recommended to me to seal my Rock on a Roll liner, but it didn’t even stick to it so certainly couldn’t seal seams, which was a huge disappointment. I noticed that the product I applied at the beginning of summer has actually shrunk and pulled away from the rock a mere few months later. The pictures attaches show old product pulled away from rock and the product I applied today,...

Jason Barnard: The good:
This expanding foam is black in color, so it hide / blends well into natural landscaping decor. It if formulated for ponds and terrariums, so it does not contain chemicals which are harmful to plants and animals. It helps hold objects together while providing some degree of water proofing / resistance.
The bad:
This is about 2-3 times the price of yellow expanding foam. Directions state is is "fully set in 8 hours", "cures rigid" and "can be cut, shaped, and sanded". This is not exactly true. This foam expands very slowly for a couple hours. So you will spray it into a shape or between a couple objects and when you return 4 hours later it will have completely pushed the objects into different spots due to expanding pressure and it no longer resembles what you were looking for. Then after it cures when you cut and shape it, it spends then next 24 hours collapsing and deflating. So, you need to wait about 3-4 days before you carve, then take it slow and carve a little here and there over a couple days to get the desired shape. I sprayed a layer of foam covering a 3' x 3' area. After I carved it, it lost about 6" in length and width as it shrank back down....

Amazon Customer: Didn't deliver on it's promises. Foam only partially expanded and there was not enough in the one can to fill a relatively small hole in a tree which was what the intended use was. Disappointing and won't buy again.
