The oil is just right. Not too heavy or runny so it goes on smooth and absorbs right into the hair. One of the best oils I've found for conditioning my beard. The Balm is likewise not super heavy or greasy but it's thick enough to keep my beard easy to control and style without having to use a whole lot. Both leave my beard feeling soft and looking extra healthy and full while also moisturizing my chin and cheeks keeping my skin happy and healthy under my beard. I don't have any problems at all with itchy skin or acne using this product.
The fragrance is easily one of the best I've tried. It's called "bay rum" and the scent is literally intoxicating. I love it! It doesn't smell like rum at all so don't worry about smelling like a drunk. It's a very clean, light and sweet fragrance and it stays with you all day. Definitely all you'll need if you're the sort of guy who prefers to smell like your beard instead of like cologne. I also love the simple list of ingredients in both the oil and the balm. They don't over do it and pick just the right blend to make a killer conditioner.

R. Reid: I must say at the start that this Bay Rum doesn't smell like any other Bay Rum I've tried. However, notice that I gave it 5 stars...

The scent (to my nose) has hints of vanilla with earthy notes (similar to sandalwood or patchouli—just a hint), and a bit of coconut. None of the individual scents are overpowering; everything blends very well together. Overall, this Bay Rum is very pleasant and manly. Top notch.

The beard oil is serious business. Just a few minutes after I applied it, my normally wiry beard was as soft as can be. It's now a part of my daily regimen. My only problem is that I now want to try their other scents, but I don't want to stop using the Bay Rum.

The beard balm is also a fantastic product. I have a ducktail beard, and the balm does a great job of keeping stray hairs in line, and gives it a more uniform look.

The Bay Rum Fisticuffs mustache wax rounds out the pack. I am very pleased with the performance of the wax, as well. I wear a handlebar mustache, but I don't usually wear a lot of wax. Quentin: First impressions: Wow. Will definitely be buying again. Guys... If you want your girlfriend, wife, mistress, friend-with-benefits, or whatever to practically live in, fondle, and smell your beard, look no further than the Grave Before Shave products. This stuff is great. After just a few days of using it all, my beard looks and feels much better and healthier overall.

Oil:
The bay rum beard oil smells absolutely amazing, and the girlfriend agrees. The bottle has a little dropper that you can use to easily apply it to your beard. I recommend applying a small amount (no more than a few small drops) and then brushing it throughout the beard with a boar bristle brush.
