Our dog used to be a fairly picky eater with the traditional kibble. We would supplement with canned dog food, but it was a real hit or miss on whether she like it or not. We then moved to cooking food for her, which she loved but was often not sustainable from a time standpoint. We then our local pet store recommended freeze-dried food. She loved it, but the availability kept on being a challenge. And this led us to Grandma Lucy's. Since the very first time, our dog has loved this product. She has now been eating it for 5 or 6 years. At 14, she's still going strong and still loves eating her food! We are so pleased to have found this great dog food product.

I have been feeding Grandma Lucy dog food to my dog for a year and a half and about a month ago started developing issues with pale gums and skin. After dozens of visits to the vet we found that he had developed heart issues that could have been much worse if it didn’t notice that his gums were white. The disease is called DCM and is directly linked to peas and potato diets. Quick Google search “DCM dogs potatoes” to find numerous studies and articles. I’ve now spent $4500 to save my dogs life and will never buy this food again. Have recommended this food to everyone and have never felt such regret.

The dog likes it and actually eats it. We have tried everything and this is the first dog food he hasn't thrown up or had diarrhea. He does fart a garlic odor so that is why the 4 stars instead of 5. It never seems to go rancid and the freeze dried food is convenient.
