Heather E Burdett: I’ve been using this to supplement grammar practice for my middle schooler for the past two years. We just look up whichever grammar concept he’s studying at school, and use the practice pages in the book for extra practice and test prep. It seems to have everything he’s covered in 6th and 7th grade so far.

Paul C 45: I returned the book because it didn't have the info on conjugating verbs that I need to have to work with my granddaughter, age 11.

Sim: The book is okay, but like all grammar books, it's a bit dry and boring at times.

I'm using this to teach my kids, but this doesn't work well as a workbook where I can just give it to them and have them work on their own. I need to sit beside them and explain things.

There are some more advance examples in here, which is nice.

Sandra D.: Correspond a mes attentes- Fonctionne parfaitement!

BigRoosterRifles: Very straightforward without being too dry, this covers every aspect of grammatical corrections! It is divided into three distinct sections, but you would probably wish to start from the beginning anyway. Each lesson builds on the last, not only in form but also in instructional wording as well. If you don’t know what they mean by the first thing in a sentence, it becomes harder to understand the second concept at all. Of course.
All in all I am pleased- perfect supplemental teachings, or as a standalone for someone who picks things up quickly, maybe. I know even I will learn plenty from this one!

Shane: Great book. Each section has clear and concise explanationS. I’ll echo what others have said in their reviews and say that there aren’t many practice exercises for each new topic; however, I use this as my main teaching material and I supplement with other materials to master the learning objective. Compared with other materials I have purchased, there are very few mistakes in this book (saw another complaint about the mistakes in this book). I started using this with my 6th grader and liked it so much that I also purchased it for my 5th grade child. At this grade level, they still need a lot of repetition which this book doesn’t provide but there’s plenty of other books to supplement. For a 7th or 8th grade child, you won’t need supplemental material.

Jun Lu: I like those exercises. But grammars explanation are too short.

Canada on Nov 06, 2019

Book Stuff Review: The definition in each chapter topic only gave a very short, insufficient explanation and the quizzes were just as short. More detailed explanations and more extensive quizzes would have helped this book a lot. The format and layout are nicely done, though.
