LG: Also so warm wurde mein Winkelschleifer noch nie. Musste wohl das erst mal schaffen. Die Frässcheibe nimmt richtig Material weg und ist dabei trotzdem noch gut zu kontrollieren.

phil.c: J'utilise ce disque conjointement à une meuleuse d'angle sur batterie, et je constate que la vitesse doit être très importante pour ne pas avoir de secousses du fait de n'avoir que 3 dents de coupe. Le variateur de la machine est réglé à fond, mais c'est limite. Acheté pour couper des liteaux dans le cadre d'une rénovation de toiture.

John Q Public: I've just used the GRAFF SPEEDCUTTER 4 ½ Wood Carving Disc for the first time yesterday. It works incredibly well! The price of excellence? BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL for what you wish for!

The speedcutter's performance is outstanding. I used it on very hard walnut and it shaped/gouged it with ease. Once again................KEEP A VERY FIRM GRIP on your angle grinder. Applying the speedcutter at an imprecise angle can/will cause a kick back in a fraction of a second. This could result in traumatic injury.

But if you're careful/experienced, this tool (weapon!) will perform above your expectations!

SJC: This is a review of 2 Amazon items used together, the Freud DS0903CP3 Diablo 9" Carbide Pruning Reciprocating Blade and the GRAFF SPEEDCUTTER 5 Wood Carving Disc for Angle Grinder - Circular Saw Blade for Cutting, Sculpting & Shaping - 7/8" Arbor - 125mm.

I have a few stumps in the yard that I wanted to remove. I shoveled off the top layer of dirt to expose part of the roots. I used a reciprocating saw with a standard DeWalt pruning blade and each blade would become dull after cutting 1 or 2 roots, causing the saw blade to start smoking and would not cut anymore, which is typical when you expose any sharp blade to dirt - but not the Diablo blade . The Diablo kept cutting through roots while laughing at the surrounding dirt like it was not there. I also got a head start on the larger roots by first cutting through as much as possible with the GRAFF SPEEDCUTTER 5 Wood Carving Disc for Angle Grinder. This is a beast on a 4.5/5 inch cordless Hercules angle grinder and does the heavy lifting through 3/4 of the exposed 2 inch roots and I cut the rest with the Diablo blades, along with the smaller roots. I then put rope around the remaining stump and pulled it out with a 4,900...

Luke Harris: I don't have years of experience with angle grinders but the experience that I do have with angle grinders and woodworking is that it's a dangerous combination. That said, I've found that the graff speedcutter has not had the kickback issues that I've had with other woodworking attachments. It's been remarkably smooth to the point that I've chastised myself about becoming too complacent.

I got this to take care of very small (3" diameter) tree stumps. It's definitely not the best tool for the job but with a cordless angle grinder it's convenient and admittedly a bit fun.

NimedicNimedic: UPDATE 06/10/2023: This is not a major issue but, it's worth mentioning that they tend to load up with wood chips quick and, at least in my experience, require a very thin metal pick to remove them as compressed air will not. They still perform as advertised and I'm still pleased with my purchase.

I'm replacing three wooden, 6" x 6" posts on my front porch and wanted to add a distressed look to the new PT posts. Practicing on an older 6" x 6" I was able to recreate some of the imperfections seen in antiquated lumber. The grooves in the pictures were done with the curved cutter.

Their effectiveness depends on the amount of control and pressure you apply to the grinder. I used the minimum to create the grooves in my project. I found the curved cutter was better suited for what I was trying to accomplish but, the flat cutter worked equally well at removing material.

From my experience, if you're planning to purchase them is to take precautions as they do remove a lot of material creating a major amount of fine dust, much more than any other woodworking machine than I've ever used. I highly recommend that they be used outdoors using a full-face shield or enclosed...
