It's so easy to adjust to his height and I like that the buckle doesn't have to fit together like puzzle pieces before you put them in the seat belt latch...you can do one at a time which is much easier! Jaime Sodja: Idk where the idea that all babies sleep in the car came from, but it’s a bold faced LIE. My daughter hated her infant car seat, she would scream and cry the whole way home, even if it was just five minutes. I was scared to drive anywhere alone because her crying sometimes turned into choking and I was understandably anxious. We finally decided to upgrade her car seat even though she was well within the weight requirements for her infant car seat. It was like night and day. She still has hard moments in the car, but we drove 1300 miles in three days and the meltdowns were minimal compared to before. So clearly, this seat is more comfortable for her. It’s also easier to get her in and out of, and easily grows with her. I would absolutely buy this for my next baby.

Lana W.: Excellent carseat that is pretty narrow. As a rear facing carseat, this thing is awesome because you can reach back and pull on the straps to tighten the harness. Other carseats do not have the harness strap exposed in the back and sometimes tightening it can be a workout if it binds. With Extend2Fit, the harness is exposed in the back making it super easy to tighten the harness. Their no re-threading design makes head reset adjustments super easy as your child grows. And the best part is the extension portion that gives rear facing children much more legroom.

As a forward facing car seat, I love that the harness moves with the headrest without the need to mess around with the harness to get it to the right height.

Another notable mention is that that base of it is completely flat without any sharp/pointed plastics that can deform your vehicle’s seat. Our old carseat had a base that wasn’t completely flat and those areas caused huge indentations to our vehicle’s seat.

And as a reminder for all the new parents out there:

For rear facing: The harness must be at or slightly BELOW shoulders
For front facing: The harness must be at or slightly ABOVE...

Amanda A Meyer: We have this same style for our toddler and ended up buying when on deep discount for our baby that’s coming in a few months. I can’t say enough good things about this car seat.
It’s affordable, easy to install thanks to quick release tabs on the anchor hooks, has an extension on legs for taller kids, up to 50lbs rear facing!!! It’s fairly light weight and I can easily take in and out if needed to clean.
The two cup holders are nice for my growing toddler to store snacks and a toy.
Even though it’s black, it doesn’t seem to hold heat like other car seats I’ve seen in the past.
I’m all about car seat safety and wouldn’t dare place my baby in a seat that doesn’t allow for a rear facing option until absolutely necessary to turn. Check out the crash rating and know the facts on seating rear facing!!

Mommy: I used to hate this car seat - before I bought it. Right off the bat, I disliked that it furthered the (false) notion that kids need more legroom to extended rear face. That aside, it is a home run!

First of all, rear facing to 50lbs/49in for $135 is a steal. It's hard to find a seat that will even forward face past 50in. (Nautilus 80, Diono, and Britax - if you needed to know.) My 5 year old daughter is 90-100th percentile (47in tall and 48lbs). She could technically rear face in this seat, with a belt install. Probably for the next year. That is something.

However, I got this seat for my 2 year old and 8 month old. "Solar" said 2-5 weeks for delivery, but the first seat already came about a week later and the next one is shipping now, so it's an outside estimate. Plus, to get a $180 seat for $135, I'd have waited the 5 weeks, anyway. Bargain! (The price and shipping time have changed since my review. That's Amazon for you.)

As soon as I got it out of the box, I was blown away. One of the things I loved about the competing seat I had my eye on was that it had buckle pockets to keep metal hardware out of the sun and out of the way, but that seat only rear...
