Govee Bluetooth Wireless Digital Meat Thermometer for Grilling, 1 Probe Included

Mmoro: My first one melted due to a flare up on the grill. I kept mine in the cabinet but nothing is/was safe from 700F heat radiating from the bottom of the tub. :) I ordered the dual probe this time to ensure different thicknesses of meat cook evenly. Great product! Easy to use. I do not cook on the grill without it.

Greg Elsass: Purchased for Thanksgiving to replace a inaccurate bottom of the line digital temperature sensor I bought at at a big box store. It was really pleasant to just sit back and every once in while glance at my phone to see the status of my turkey. Used again when making a pork half loin roast, the recipe stated x number of hours to bake, but the Govee showed that is was done a whole half hour early. Saved me from a dried out pork roast.

LR: I have multiple Govee products, all of which work very well, but this is probably my least favorite of the bunch. Overall it's a good product, but it has a few minor drawbacks, IMO. First, the good. It's compact and it has a magnet built into the case, so you can stick it wherever you want on the grill or fridge or stove. I've had several probe thermometers from other brands, and the glue on the magnet always gives out. The magnet on this is in the body, so it definitely won't give out and fall and break. I bought the model with two probes, so you can take temps from multiple items at once, which is very convenient. I love that you don't need to stand next to the grill in order to get the reading, but that it's sent to your phone instead. The not as great: this is a bluetooth only thermometer, with no reading on the front, so you can only use it with the phone app. This wouldn't be an issue, except that if you don't change the settings (on my S10, anyway), the app will not run in the background. So if you close the app to do something else, it will not notify you when you reach the target temperature. This can be changed in the settings, but how to do that isn't always clear for...
