J. Barz: Both my husband and I have bad backs, plus I have had two knee replacement surgeries. I bought two sizes of these floor mats for the kitchen and I am so glad I did. In addition to being gentle to our backs and my knees, they also dry exceptionally fast. I managed to get water all over the mat in front of the sink - don't ask - it was insane stupidity. I was able to put it in the sun on my porch and it dried very quickly. I was thrilled! They also clean up very nicely as my husband is a bit like Julie Child when cooking and gets food on the floor every time!

nwagh76: As a pen maker I spend a lot of time in front of my lathe, which is on a concrete floor. I have been using an anti-fatigue mat for several years, but it wasn't a really good one. Just got this one and already I know I'm in love with it! I am more used to a mat that is 24" deep -- this one is 17" -- but I don't really need the extra 7 inches so I'm not concerned. I'll get used to the new depth when I step backwards. How well it will stand up to a workshop I won't know for many months or even years, but it is well constructed, and it will not be seeing chemicals or rough abuse other than my feet, so I suspect this mat is here for the duration.

Anonymous: Though there are plenty of similar, less expensive options available, I chose to pay the premium price expecting a superior product--based on reviews. The actual comfort and easy clean aspects do hold up, and time will tell how sturdy it is in the long run. So far so good. However, it does not stay in place on my hardwood floor. Slides around over the course of a couple days normal use, and strangely is impossible to slide back into place without picking the entire thing up. Other than the fact it won't stay put, it's a decent--if possibly overpriced--product.

djc music: I have a hard time standing in one place for long (washing, cutting fruits and vegetables, doing dishes etc.) because my lower back gets sore. So I took a chance and spent more money than I normally would on a mat, but I was desperate and decided to take the plunge. It really DOES help! I can now stand for long periods with NO pain or soreness! The only issue I have is that it is not as dark as it looked on the picture :-( I was hoping for a Hunter green. Oh well. Other than that, it's well worth the price!!!!!
