LT MatthewsLT Matthews: I wanted to have a trellis/arch as an entry way into my patio. I looked at several but kept returning to this one. It was super easy to assemble. I used form pins to anchor all 4 legs in the ground to stabilize it. It is solid! I added 2- 24"stakes off each end at the top to hang baskests away from the sides. I also painted it dark bronze/black to match my dark decor on my patio. It's just so lovely and added that finished touch I needed to complete my little sanctuary!

Brian W, Elgin County: The most significant problem was figuring out how best to fix the base to the ground. The posts are not long enough to just plant them in the ground. In the end, I put together four metal stakes, one for each corner, each 36 inches long, 18 inches hammered into the ground and 18 inches screwed to the arbor posts. If you take this approach, make sure the posts are in the right place, and vertical.

Sheldon S: Took a little time to assemble, but I'm not particularly handy. I wouldn't say it was hard, just comes in many pieces and screws - having a powered screwdriver was a life saver, you wont want to build it without one. Overall, it looks great, the size is easy to walk under, and I'm really happy with the final product. I added a few pieces of wood to the base so that it wouldn't blow over in the wind, but that's to be expected on any arbour like this. I would recommend this one for sure.
