KE: Worked well, but must have been old or something. It was so hard to get out of the tube! A plumber friend told me to soak the tube in warmish-hot water for 15 minutes and should be easier to dispense. I didn’t test the theory, since I had already finished with it by the time I got the tip.

Beckett ShionaBeckett Shiona: I was making repairs to my shower stall--a 35-year-old lucite grab bar had shattered, leaving two large round holes in the fiberglass, one plugged with a portion of the broken bar, so installing a new bar was impossible. I chose instead to cover the holes with vacuum hanging hooks, but they kept falling off. I was stymied on how to keep them in place. I tried super glue, gorilla glue, etc.--nothing worked. But once I used this Plumber's Goop (I duct-taped the pieces in place for 72 hours to give the glue time to cure, and covered them with plastic to keep water out during that time), let me tell you, those pieces appear to be on for life! After I removed the tape and plastic, they were SET. Repeated showers now for a couple of weeks since installing them, and they don't move even a hair's breadth.

William N: I have heard on pretty good authority that Plumbers Goop and Household Goop are exactly the same product in a different tube but you pay a premium for Plumbers Goop. I use both products. Anyway I used this to seal up a hairline crack somewhere in the hard plastic condensate tank of a 6 year old York high efficiency propane furnace. This little reservoir in the furnace holds water and when it gets to a certain level a hose drains it to the electric condensate pump outside the furnace. They were a bad design. It is two halves like a clamshell design joined with self tapping screws but a brittle hard plastic. The mechanical company wanted $400 plus labor to replace the known bad York tank they all get cracks either from over torquing the screws of what have you then water leaks onto the steel floor of one compartment of the furnace and rusts it, and leaks onto the basement floor. Clearly no good. I waited until the furnace was off cut off the power switch and dried the area with a har drier. Then many applications of Plumbers Goop over a period of weeks. It is humanly impossible to find the hairline crack so you have to goop up all the edges basically build a dam out of Goop. I used...
