Gooch Guard Chamois Cream - Anti-Chafe and Friction-Reducing Balm for Cyclists and Athletes

JT: I do door-to-door sales so I’ve been in the body friction business for a while now and I must say this is a great product. I recommend to anyone who is in the market for a product like this. Only thing is depending on where your “problem area” is, going to the bathroom and wiping can make it so you need to reapply again so don’t leave it at home.

Karl Hodges: I think most chamois creams are well tested and do what they advertise, yet I like that gooch guard has less perfumes and feels more likely to lubricate.
To be sure I start with a "friction defense stick" but sometime you do what you need (since I'm 70) to stay in the saddle

ChiTri: Any bicyclist who has gone on a long ride and neglected it to use some product like this and I was the horror of stepping into the shower after the ride. This did the trick.

Karthik: I use this everyday while walking to protect my toes & inner thighs. I walk anywhere between 5 to 7 miles every day & this cream is a must to protect my inner thighs/toes & without this, I can't walk more than 1.5 miles.
This is a brilliant cream.

Caton Todd: This stuff does seem to do the trick, as advertised. Not sure I fully read the product page for it; hadn’t realized that to work properly, it needs to be applied primarily to the fabric where the chafing occurs. I honestly didn’t do a lot of research when I found this product. I saw the funny product title, saw that it said it helped to prevent chafing in the inner thigh area by the under-carriage area. So, I got it. I don’t have experience or knowledge really on chamois creams. I think I was looking more for something that was applied primarily to the skin rather than saturating the fabric with this cream. I use the elliptical at the gym as it’s easier on my post-surgery back. I can get pretty into my cardio when I get going and I really push myself. Hence, I end up getting chafed where my compression shorts rub against my inner thigh closest to the jewels. Not pleasant. Doesn’t seem to be much out there, that I would know about anyway (chub rub?) that would really help to minimize or prevent chafe in this area.

Anyway, I think it will work for my purposes, but saturating my compression shorts may not be how I end up using this product unless simply applying it...

Brent S.: I have used various products over the years and this I'm afraid to say is the worst one i have come across from the time you open the tub. It smells like hand cleaner, so I had to check, if i ordered the correct one.
The cream was like old in texture and then when i started to use it (giving it the benefit of doubt) it has no firmness to the cream and once you use it, it feels like using heat rub and gets hotter as you ride
So be warned riders - be careful if you want to or this product - there are much better out there. No good valuee for money!!
