M. Allan: I compared 4 different BBQ cleaners - Goo Gone, simple green, a "citrus" safe one, and a toxic non-biodegradable one. Of the four, Goo Gone was the most expensive, but it worked at least as well as the toxic one and much better than the other two... and the Goo Gone cleaner doesn't smell terrible and burn my nostrils like the toxic stuff does.
Given that I only clean my BBQs once every year or two, I think the extra cost is worth it to use something that works well and is biodegradable.

S Mac: I did a Pepsi challenge out of curiosity with the spray/pad versus a regular SOS pad and was surprised. The spray and pad worked better and much easier.
I started to tear the pad after cleaning 3 grates because I was holding it on one end to get in-between the grates. For the cost of the pads, it would be better to include two pads since you can't buy them separately. I'm pretty sure this single bad will be destroyed with half a bottle of cleaner left.

Amazon Customer: The product itself seems to work fine and was easy rinse off however it comes out as a foam and just kinda sticks to the surface without spreading. I ran out of product on just one largish grill.
