Nikki Inc: I took up golf 6 months ago, this book has been very helpful. She goes over the basics of grip, aim and alignment, differences in clubs, how to use a driving range, and what to do on the course. She also gives plain advice on how to fix common problems like pushing and topping, and how to politely get “Prince Charming” to stop telling us how to play golf “the right way”. She addresses issues that we women tend to have such as not wanting to leave a divot (my husband didn’t know that was a thing and it is). The language is easy, straight forward, and very detailed. Except for a few oddball stories, it is very much for the beginner—she explains all the jargon. I read it cover to cover with a club handy and I go back when I have issues. The photos, though black and white, are very clear to understand what she is showing.

Barbara Jean: I just got back into golfing last year after a ten-year hiatus and this book was just perfect. It does a great job of breaking down a lot of the mystery and intrigue associated with the game, and made me much more comfortable on the course. I still have MUCH to learn--which is really one of the best aspect of the game, IMHO--but this was great about putting me on a good track. I think the best thing about this book was the realization that the game isn't all that different for women vice men, but that we all act like it is. Recognizing the problem is the first step (I think the second step is washing it out?)

At any rate--I liked this one, and refer back to it frequently.

Mikey: My wife began playing golf a few months ago. She had never played before and was somewhat bewildered by the rules, scoring and ettiquette. I sent for this book and she has read it avidly saying the content is perfect for a beginner like her. Everything is explained well and she is a lot more confident on the course now. Her feedback is "thoroughly recommended for any beginner". Incidentally I have been playing for many years and decided to take a look at the book! It is not just for beginners and dare I say many experienced golfers (men and women) would get worthwhile tips from this book.

Sherry B.: Kellie Stenzel addresses unique situations for women and golf that I have already personally experienced. Good book for those beginning in the world of golf. I went to play at one course recently and noticed that I was the only female on a very busy golf course. The guys often made excuses for me indicating that I was new and slow. By the end of the day, I was very irritated. Kellie hits right on this topic in this book and many other tips. I refer to her techniques all the time. It was written around 2000. I wish she would update the book for 2013 since equipment and techniques are always changing in golf.
