Discover Genuine GM's Fluorescent Coolant System Tracer Dye, the ideal air conditioning leak detection tool for customer support, accuracy, build quality, and durability. This 1 oz product is designed to help you locate and identify leaks in your air conditioning system quickly and accurately, allowing you to make the necessary repairs and get back to enjoying your cool air.Aramil: Overall, this is a good passive way to detect leaks in your fluids. Just add it to the fluid and if you suspect a leak is happening shine a u.v. torch around your engine bay and you will see it clear as day. I'd highly recommend adding some florescent dye to your oil as well, forbid you ever get a oil leak

SebastianT: Had a small coolant leak at my Chevy. Was unable to find it.
So I got this stuff - the bottle instructs your to put in all of the contents - I thought I 'll try with a little bit first.
Used about a quarter - and my coolant turned crazy neon green. It lights up in UV yet, you can also see it really well with the naked eye.
After two days I could see some green green droplets underneath my water-pump. Changed the pump and leak free.
Put another quarter of the bottle in my other truck which has a slight leak somewhere. Would say this small bottle is good for at least 4 cars.

Jay: Simple to add to the radiator. No leak was detected. I have the smell of anti freeze, but I can not find a leak. The radiator stays up to the top. The smell must come from the over flow tank. No major problems so far.

Amazon Customer: Good stuff. I used it to pinpoint a leak in the cooling system on a Jeep after having replaced the lower radiator hose (the suspected source of the leak after testing with a pressure tester) without success. Coolant turned out to be seeping out around the fitting for the transmission cooler. This stuff glows green under a UV light and is easy to see at night, even without yellow-tinted glasses. I should note that this is very strong stuff - my cooling system has a 12 qt capacity and I dumped the entire bottle in and it was far brighter than it needed to be. Wherever it splashed (under the hood, my driveway, my hands, my clothing) glowed brightly under UV until I rinsed it off with a garden hose.
