hazelrah: We have switched to Banza chickpea pasta, for over a year now. My husband is Maltese and loves pasta, but we felt guilty eating it as often as he likes until we found this higher protein tasty option. Our local grocer sells many pasta shapes, but not ziti. We wanted to make postitsio and so we ordered the minimum six boxes. No problem, we've already used two of them. Delicious and we did not gain weight. We even made them in half and half and soy milk and it works great...so creamy!

Slide: This pasta came out too mushy for me. I only boiled it for 3 minutes and it was overdone. I usually use a different brand but have been having trouble finding it, so I figured I'd give this one a shot. I'm giving it three stars because it's not BAD, it's just not as good as my usual. I'm used to brown rice based pastas and this one had a bit of a "beany" flavor, but it wasn't awful or anything. Also, I wasted two boxes trying to make mac and cheese in my instant pot, which I do all the time with my other brand. This burnt, stuck to the bottom horribly, and became a giant pile of goo, so I had to start over on the stove top. I don't blame them for that; lots of GF pasta won't work in the IP, but as I mentioned my other one did so this was disappointing.

Teddy K.: Cooks fast, tastes like normal pasta, packed with protein!
To point out the fine print on the box that I gossed over when I first got this, the 25g of protein is from a 3.5oz serving, not a 2oz serving that the nutrition facts has specified. I didn't read the whole nutrition label, just the top that says "serving size 2oz" and then was confused why my calorie tracking app only had Banza listed as 14g of protein.

Kenneth P. Mostello: The Banza brand is the best tasting wheat pasta substitute I've tried. The taste and texture are close to the real thing. Two things I would also point out. First, the cooking time required is very short. Secondly, this pasta does have a higher net carbohydrate count than some other bean based pastas, but it's still much lower in carbs than any wheat pasta I've found. I wouldn't use it for a very low carbohydrate diet, but it's probably fine if you are trying to moderate or reduce the carbs in a normal diet.
