Ana Paula Milliotti: Great tips besides I don’t agree or follow some of them, I like the way author explains cause and consequence

AI: It will be criticised of course, but this is so helpful to cut through the "feed them whenever they cry" culture that so many new mums are bombarded with today. I give it to every pregnant friend, because every mum I know who's tried this approach (including me) has had babies that slept through the night at a reasonable age, and those that didn't, haven't and were utterly exhausted. That's evidence enough for me!

Tatyana: This book single handedly is why I have a happy and full of restful sleep baby! We started at 3 months implementing this style of parenting and schedules and we’ve noticed a huge improvement in our babies behavior and sleep. We get 6-11 hours straight every night and have never had a 4-month sleep regression. I still have to pump at night once so I’m up but it’s much easier when you just pump for 20 min and go back to bed.

Destiny: On Becoming Baby Wise" is a gift to sleep-deprived parents everywhere. This book is a treasure trove of wisdom, offering practical guidance on establishing healthy sleep routines for infants. It's not just about nighttime sleep; it's about giving both parents and babies the gift of restful nights.

Rebekah Philippi: I am so grateful that another mom recommended this book to me. Don't get me wrong, it is not the end all cure to all of your problems, however, it is a huge help! I did not follow every single part of the book like the Bible, however, I did use the general principles and yes, my baby sleeps every night for around 12 hours (7.5 month old). I have read some reviews that claim that this book tries to force your child into a ridiculously strict schedule, however, this is definitely NOT true. This book advises a system that is a middle ground between parents who try to set up their child on an alarm clock system (which the book does NOT endorse) and parents who just try to feed their baby every single time they cry (whether it be every five minutes, or every 5 hours). This book is also really good for newer mothers trying to learn how to figure out what is wrong when your baby cries--is it food, the diaper, sleep, gas, discomfort, etc???--because when your baby is on somewhat of a schedule, you can anticipate their needs. I am so grateful that I read this book. The loose schedules set forth in the book are extremely helpful, and are to be adapted by you to your baby's needs. The only...

FA: This book provides an extremely useful guidance on how to manage a baby's routine from the early days which brings structure to baby and parents as well. I would definitley recommend this book to parents to make use of the outlines and concepts explained.
However I would also recommend to be extra careful with:
1- blindly applying the feeding scheduling techniques, specially in case of breastfeeding, and specially in the early days.
2- applying the cry it out method.
I would highly recommend to do your own research first, from other resources and other schools of thoughts before deciding what is best for baby and you.

Esteban Rod: Tenía muchas espectacular en este libro por las buenas críticas que había leído, pero tras leerlo veo que no aporta nada nuevo, y que además apoya la educación basada en el miedo, las amenazas y llena la infancia de llantos y abandonos :(

Sandy Farmer: I've never done a review/post like this before. I was intending to read both of these books and review them separately. But as I was reading them at the same time, I just couldn't figure out how to review them comprehensively without continually referencing the other. They overlap so much. So this review/compare and contrast will include a good bit of my personal motherhood story as well as a review of both books and a comparison and contrasting of the parenting philosophies of both books. This will be more lengthy than normal. Sorry, but I hope you stick with me here.

***Also, let me say up front that parenting is an extremely personal experience full of difficult decisions that often don't have right or wrong answers. We often see "mom shaming" because as mothers we all (for the most part) are seeking the best things for our children. But the trouble is that we often disagree on what's best. It is not my intention to imply that any parenting philosophy discussed in this review is better than any other but to only state what philosophies work for me and my family and what doesn't.***

I remember asking a cousin when we were both pregnant (her about 30 weeks and me...
