Avid Reader: Nice bright pictures with rhyming text and a mystery to solve, this story is pretty basic. I think it could have had a bit more something in the way of plot, but a child will probably like the surprise of the actual cookie thief.

Kindle Customer: This is a fun book with very good illustrations it reminded me of my grandmother's cookies and how sometimes if we were late all that was left was the crumbs

A: What an adorable twist on the age-old conundrum of who stole the cookie from the cookie jar!
A group of children go on a hunt to find the source of a trail of fallen crumbs.
I'll admit -- I didn't see the culprit coming!
Loved the rhyming and the strong meter, as well as the short song in the back. The included recipe is a nice touch!

Gail Christian: This is a cute story about Abuela making cookies for the grandkids to eat after school. The only problem with that is that when the children get home, all that was left of the cookies was crumbs. They decided to investigate until they found the thief, and they were surprised when they learned who had eaten their treats. Then the story just ended.
I think a better ending would have been that Abuela had put some cookies in a baggie for the children before the rest of them were stolen. Or even better: Abuela could have made and hidden a second batch of cookies for the grandkids. Then EVERYONE would have been happy AND have gotten some gingersnaps!

Ms. Deb: Gingerbread Snatcher is a beautiful little holiday season book everyone can enjoy! It's amazing for young readers and a for preschoolers to be read aloud. The book is fantastically illustrated, and of course well written which is to be expected of Vicky Weber. I absolutely love the vocal explorations and plan to use the little chorus throughout many pages of the book, keeping it fun for my preschool music classes!

Victoria M: Another beautiful book by Vicky Weber. This heartwarming story leads children on an adventure around their home to find the gingersnap thief. Lots of opportunities for musical learning as well as discussion points for younger children. I have used this with Early Years and KS1 to explore rhythm and rhyme patterns. We even learnt the song at the end and had a go at writing our own lyrics.

Redrabbitt: The story is a fun little mystery that the three children solve. What happened to the Gingersnap cookies? Following clues they element the cat, the dog, and their mother. So who took the gingersnap cookies? Read and find out!
Note: I had a kindle copy of this book and it isn't as easy to read as it probably would be in a paperback copy. I had to keep enlarging it to read the tiny words.
