Moe: This crystallized ginger makes excellent ginger tea. I also eat it straight out of the bag. Ginger is good for naseau and also is an anti inflammatory agent. The best thing about ginger is that it tastes great! Get yourself some.

NES: Great treat for baking but my favorite use of Ginger People ginger chips is to decorate or add in to vanilla ice cream and yogurt. Adds a great zing to both.

PCNiles: I've been using Ginger People's ginger "baker's chips" (as it was formerly called) for many years, a very long time, actually. I use the chips in baking cookies, cakes and other desserts, and even use them as a 'crumb' topping on banana nut bread. I also toss in an entire package into fresh cranberry sauce when I make it seasonally. These chips are also very good for sweetening and flavoring tea; and add the benefit of soothing an upset stomach if needed. The chips used to come in nice little tin cans with plastic resealable tops, which I preferred. I'm not crazy about the plastic bags, even though they too are resealable, but I understand the reason for the company switching to this form of packaging. The Ginger People produce wonderful ginger products, and I buy their chunk-size crystallized ginger as well as their pickled sushi ginger which is absolutely wonderful, but unfortunately, it is seldom available through Subscribe & Save.

I probably shouldn't rave about this product too much because it may become even harder to get here on Amazon. But, no, a product this good deserves praise. And they have mine.

MyRedSandals: I stumbled on a single can of this product at TJ Maxx, of all places. I had a Molasses-Ginger cookie recipe just crying out to be made, so I decided to use the entire can's worth of ginger bits instead of the lesser amount that the recipe called for. The cookies turned out to be nothing short of spectacular, and even my adult son -- who claims to dislike anything made with ginger -- scarfed them right down. The individual bits are fresh, chewy, well-separated (no clumps here) and a bit sweet; for those who like desserts that are less sweet, just reduce the amount of sugar called for in your recipe. I was thrilled to find out that Amazon.com sells a 6-pack of these gems, and have now purchased them several times over; the price is definitely right! Highly recommended!
