MamontEagle: I like this small chainsaw but I'm a little worried that there is no real lock button. Instructions state "It requires you to press the lock button and switch button simultaneously to start the chainsaw, which can effectively avoid misoperation and potential risks." That was not true with mine. The chain saw began running just by pressing the trigger!

Now I'm worried that when I'm having trouble removing the battery (which I do) the chain saw may start up! So I'm ultra ultra careful in doing this. Makes me so nervous.

Otherwise, I really like it -- it is small and easy to handle for cutting branches, etc. It would get 5 stars if they had a true lock button. Wonder why not?

The Giz: Surprised at how well this worked. I used it today to trim the dead branches off a specimen palm tree in my yard. Would have taken at least a couple of hours using my pruners & hand saw. Finished in an hour. Nice and light for ease of use.

Battery lasted the whole way with juice to spare. The charger has an indicator light on it, but there is no way to know how much battery is left after using. I just keep it topped up. The spare battery and chains are a nice plus. The case helps keep everything together including batteries & spare chains.

Keep an eye on your chain tension as you start using it. It may stretch a bit. Quick adjustment & back in business. I use a pump oiler to keep the chain lubed as there is no internal oiler on this. A squirt or 2 on the chain every now & then keeps it working smoothly.

50 Dollar: That's a 2nd one what I bought as a present. I didn't have big expectations when I bought the 1st, but it was working great. It did a lot of cutting branches from downed trees. I changed the batteries every 20 -30 min, didn't wait until it gets discharged. I'm not pro but for DIY is more than enough. After cutting lots of branches from about 6 trees still had the 1st chain. It bites pretty aggressively so trying to use the top of the bar is not a good idea because of one hand holding.

Mary: Let's just say I purchased two of these last year for Christmas Gifts one for my brother in law and one for my husband. This thing really works great. Since then I have told several friends and family members and they too have purchased it and love it. So far I have purchased a total of 2 for my home, 1 for my son, 2 for both my bosses, my brother in law and EVERYONE LOVES it. Only issue I have had is the chain came off one time and I was able to put it back on with no trouble just beware and do not over tighten the bolt on the front it could strip out easily if over tightened too much. BUT my husband and I were both shocked a the size of the branches this little guy can take down. NO MORE lugging up the ladder the big daddy chain saw when this guy will do the trick for most dead branch trimmings and cut downs. Great price and Great Gift Idea for Single Women also. 2 of my single girlfriends purchased one also and they too are thrilled I showed them ours and and love it.

Very Unhappy Customer: Supplied with a US charger plug even though they could clearly see I was in Australia. impossible to return because of the conditions and return depot 1 hours drive away! No proper reply to messages. Will never purchase anything from Amazon again, its a rip off. There is no way to contact Amazon so no help at all.
