Connie D.: I've had these dishes a year and they are so classy looking. They are great for everyday and other special occasions. The smaller plates are very versatile. They can be used for dessert, salad, & smaller portions. The coffee cups hold a generous cup of coffee. The bowls are the perfect for cereal, ice cream or using as small serving bowls.

The only negative on these is that they do chip if not careful. I have bought food safe touch up paint to cover the chip on one plate and one cup. But I use them everyday.

Would I recommend this set....YES

lkk: Love the look and the plates seem of good quality. I didn’t realize the shape would be a tight fit for my cupboard because my previous plates were round. Also, they are a tight fit in the dishwasher.

Sylvie: Mon set de vaisselles étaient en piteux états. Lorsque j'ai vu se set de vaisselles, je n'ai pas résisté une minute, car c'était exactement la couleur et la forme que je recherchais. En plus d'être super beau, il a l'air très résistant, va au lave-vaisselle et au micro-onde, qu'est-ce qu'on peut demander de mieux. Un gros merci encore une fois Amazon et tout votre équipe!

Sandra Wilson: I waited a couple of weeks to write a review because I wanted to see how sturdy they were and how well they did in the dishwasher. I bought these dishes for my daughter and her family and they dearly love them. The color is very nice. Not one single piece was broken when it arrived. I would recommend these dishes to anyone looking to buy new ones. I bought three sets of them so my daughter would have a service for 12.

Bob C.: When I tried to refrigerate some leftovers, I discovered that cling wrap (Saran Wrap, for example) doesn't stick to these plates/bowls. (I thought that was interesting.)

Also, when I received my order and found a blemish in one of my bowls, I contacted Amazon and was subsequently referred to the manufacturer for resolution. So I called Gibson about the problem and the young lady I spoke with told me the company doesn't maintain a stock of "extras". However, she did promise to check with her warehouse to see if there happened to be a replacement sitting on the shelf which might be shipped to me as a courtesy. A week later, I was happily surprised to find a box containing a replacement sitting on my doorstep.

My bottom line opinion is that Gibson's dishware is very nice. The set I bought - the Gibson Elite Amber - is gorgeous. I'm a little disheartened by some of the other comments about how fragile they are, but armed with the knowledge, I'll handle these pieces with extra care. PS - Thanks to Gibson for the excellent service.
