Giantex Outdoor Wooden Pet Dog House for Small to Medium-Sized Dogs

SharonSharon: Purchased 2 for my chihuahuas. 1 is 6lbs and the other is 12lbs. Both packages arrived undamaged, no parts were missing. I did discover on one of the balcony rails the end piece was assembled backwards, which I unscrewed and fixed, so I recommend carefully going through your parts and using a little bit of visual confirmation/common sense.

I wanted to connect the two houses to allow for one large roof deck, so I hacked off the landing on one, shortened the rail, and voila! My little guy is a blue and white, by chunky boy is a black and tan with hints of white - so I decided to paint their houses to match them. To be fair, I haphazardly ran my hands across all the wood and did not pick up any splinters, though many of the pieces were "rough" and probably could have used a sanding. I honestly just not feel like doing all of that and felt the risk was low. I also did not feel like painting and flipping and finding room for each individual piece to dry, so I waited until assembled to paint.

I almost ordered a similar model from another seller that featured a wire door, but decided the dimensions on this one seemed better. I found two cute decorative "windows" with fall...

KatyKaty: I have had this product since 2019 and it has been outside on my porch. Before I did a complete seal on it I would clean it ever year with just soap and water. I recently sealed the house and it has done great. Since I have had it my cat eats and stays inside the house. I added a extra hole on the side under the stairs so he would have an escape spot if another cat showed up. I also added chair feet caps at the bottom so the water doesn’t soak up though the bottom that touches the concrete.

Genevieve ScanlonGenevieve Scanlon: My cat Shelby loves this house, she sleeps on the top and the bottom it's like 50/50 she loves both. This is a great product, easy to assemble - looks adorable and everyone who comes to my home loves it. My Beagle is 36 pounds and she is too big for it, she can go in the bottom but she can't turn around so I would say it would be better for a cat or a dog under 30 pounds but what a great great purchase this was!!! I thank the seller!!!!

Amazon Customer: Love the design but...
The actual size is smaller than what is advertised and the craftsmanship definitely not up to standards. Top barrier piece came cracked and when I went to screw it together completely fell apart. And this is not something you can just go to a store and have replaced.
So, for the amount I had to pay in Canadian money, I highly doubt I would recommend this item to anybody, let alone friends.
Very disappointed!!!

RornDoone: They are simply adorable, look better than what we replaced with them, and are perfectly cozy-looking on the front porch, where all the cats around like to huddle (because our vintage house does let some heat leak out at that spot). The cat crew had abandoned the previous structures, but they were all over these little houses (this one was about half the cost of all the others, so we bought two). They especially love rubbing their scent against the little railings on the top.

This house looks and smells as if it's made of cedar, and if so it should age gracefully, should not need painting, and should help repel insect-pests.

These little houses were easy to put together, and the manufacturer even provided the Phillips-head screwdriver which was supposed to be the only tool needed (and would have been if I had stronger arms). I only needed a tiny drill-bit, a Phillips bit, and a regular drill. Why? While all the entry-point holes (those on the first board of each join) were drilled and even had a little divot around them for counter-sinking; most of the holes weren't pre-drilled into the planned receiving/secondary board, probably because the manufacturers reasoned...
