Patrick L Jacks: I bought two of these doorbells and use on for the front and one for the back door. I was able to moniter my home while I was overseas for the months. I am very happy with the functionality and quality of the doorvells. While I was out of the country, I removed the doorbell from the back door and sat it inside with the motion sensor turned on so that if anyone broke into my home the motion sensor would alert me. I even had full access to the units including video from internet while in Sweden. I've only recharged the units a total of 3 times since I've had them and noticed that the batteries seemed to be discharging faster than before. I notified the manufacture's customer service and the sent me new replacement batteries. I've very happy with both the doorbells/video and the customer service. I recommend these units with great confidence.

BrooklynBrand: The media could not be loaded.  All in all, this is a decent camera for the price point.
PROS
- Clear picture quality
- Night vision is exceptionally clear
- Sound is clear
- 3 Days of free storage - no subscription necessary; can view and download any feed within 3 days
- Software works effortlessly on Andriod phone - no issues experienced (knock on wood). Software is very easy to install and navigate. To date, I have received every alert when either motion is detected* or the bell is rung.
- Have only had to charge it 1x after 1st month of use.
CONS
- Sensor sometimes fails to detect motion - this is infrequent though. There have a been a few times where the motion sensor missed a delivery person dropping off a package, or individual exiting the home.
- If you forget to save or download feed beyond the three day time period, you will have to subscribe to the cloud software.
ALL IN ALL: If you're looking for an affordable camera-doorbell, this is it.

L. GeraghtyL. Geraghty: Sometime ago, I helped two of my neighbors install their Ring Video doorbell. Their homes are made of stucco. (I happen to own a drill with a carbide bit.) I also helped a third neighbor install his Simply Safe Video Doorbell/Security System. That's when I realized this Video Doorbell thing was a good idea. The problem is, I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on hardware and hundreds more on subscriptions.
After researching on the internet, I came up with a well-priced alternative, the V5 Video Doorbell, which I have owned now for over two years with no issues. The V5 is the predecessor to the subject of this Review, the new and more advanced version, the T8. The T8 offers 1080p Video, a step above the V5's 720p.
The T8 model (approximately 5.5" x 2") is smaller in size than the V5. It uses two batteries (included) instead of three and still, remarkably, can operate 24/7 for up to 3-4 months on a single charge (depending, of course, on your sensitivity settings and how often you use live video & audio). As a side note, out of the box, it initially needs a 14 hour charge.
