Lagigi227: The Family grill cooks well. No complaints regarding this. I was disappointed that it wasn't larger. Calling it a Family grill leads you to believe that it could accommodate more than 2 average steaks.. Otherwise I am happy with my purchase...

Miriam: This grill is absolutely fabulous! I put some water in the pan that lays underneath and I placed the grill on my smooth top stove, just in case there was any smoke, then I could use the exhaust fan above the stove, but there was NO smoke! None!!! I grilled a thick cut steak with chimichurri sauce and zucchini slices also with chimichurri sauce. Everything came out perfectly grilled, with the typical marks, great flavor and no smoke!!! Love this thing! It is exactly what I hoped it would be! The design is GENIUS! It takes so little space when you store it vertically. I place the instruction manual between the grill plate and the drip pan, so everything is together when I pull it out. Fantastic!!!

PaxPax: I love this grill! It makes the food taste deliciously grilled! A clean, healthy grilled taste not a "charcoal" flavor. Just clean and healthy! I love that it grills everything well with grill marks on my veggies, veggie burgers (if frozen, I microwave for a bit), and fish (thawed). Now mind you, if you marinate you will get some steam, but overall not much. I also took this grill outdoors and set it on my outdoor table and connected it to an outdoor patio cord! Worked amazingly well!!! Oh, and clean up is a snap! I line the drip tray with foil as you can see in some of the pictures and toss and replace with fresh foil once done. I let the grill cool down to just warm and gently wipe down with a soft, wet towel with some dish soap. Then Later, I give it a quick though wash and rinse by hand. Done! Easy! Looks still new. I've had it for three months and grill weekly for the week. Wonderful for meal prep!

Max: I am not sure what thickness means n the star review. This grill is just the right size for me, as a single man. It would be adequate to cook for two. So far, I have grilled steaks, loin lamb chops and chicken breasts. All were excellent and very tasty, not quite as good as charcoal, but better than gas. The heat level compared favorably to a hot charcoal grill. It is substantially, but not 100% smokeless, but my range hood was easily able to cope with the ittle smokethat did emanate. The cooking surface is truly non-stick, and the outfit is surprisingly easy to clean. I am happy I bought it.

This is what could use improvement. The temperature dial is marked only for low, medium and high. A temperature scale would be a vast improvement. Second, a little led light goes off once the desired temperature is reached. But itis not easily seen unless you are standing very near the unit. Finally, the plastic base seems cheap. It is adequate, provides good support but feels a little flimsy.

Kiwiboer: This is great for the winter season, takes a bit longer than gas but at least you don't get the flare-ups that happen after a few beers. Family size is really only for couples, if more than two go for the large.
