I do like the GF grills, especially the smaller sizes like this one. I did burn the first meal on this unit....the one I got is apparently hotter than the previous GF grill of this size that I owned and wore out. I just need to get used to this one and know I will like it once I learn. The second unit I have owned was a larger one and ended up being donated to a niece, who has a family. My complaint about that one was also the heating.....it did not heat enough to brown anything at all. So, each unit does have vagaries and one has to work around those. I do very much like the folding legs at the back that make it sit more level when not in use - this is an excellent feature.
I also like this size for two people, but It would be nice if this small size could be made with removable grill plates for ease of care. However, the care of these is not that difficult. After use I simply put a very wet paper towel between on the bottom plate and close the lid. By the time I get to kitchen clean-up all I have to do is wipe the softened residue off.
However, that said, I am disappointed to note that this particular unit is, apparently, not new and/OR it...
