Miles Malone: The Avatar story continues with another hit brilliant addition. Maybe one day they will become animated. Continually pumping out bangers.

Mix: If you love the show then buy this. I love avatar and this quenched my thirst for more avatar. It’s a great story and holds up properly to the show.

Ami Panda: Toph is badass.i mean see saved people from a mine calapase.again there are sweet kataang parts but still the focus is on toph and how awesome she is.Her dad though is seriously an idiot at first but he becomes better. But the storytelling in this is amazing I mean I want to shake the writers and illustrator’s hand for this I love it.And the part about aang’s history is good too.(this is again a review of all the rift pars)

Emmanuel: These Avatar comic books are most-haves for die hard avatar fans such as myself. These comics pretty much continue the story after the show ended. Although it is not the same as watching the show, it is still much fun to read. I love how the comics stay true to the show's formula and one way they do this is by showing the fans Aang's interactions with his previous incarnations which is something that I deeply love about the show. Specifically in the The Rift, we learn more Avatar Yangchen and it is very much satisfying to see storytelling about avatars rarely mentioned in the show.

T. M. Stamler: Overall a good story with great artwork. The Gurihiru art team only seem to be getting better with each graphic novel, and writer Gene Yang does a good job capturing the post-war Avatar world and coming up with creative, realistic problems for the GAang to face. The story comes to a satisfying conclusion and not quite in the way I was expecting either, something the show often did very well.

My only real criticism is that the prediction I made in my review of 'The Rift: Part 2' was proven true in that Katara's sub-plot was pretty much meaningless, it didn't add to the story or Katara's character, and it introduced rather bland characters we hadn't seen before and will probably never see again. While Katara really contributed to the plot and character arcs in 'The Promise', the writer doesn't seem to know what to do with her in the last two graphic novel series other than just have her be...well, there.

And yet surprisingly, Sokka is still given his due, with his usual brand of ingenious and kinda badass moments. Go figure.

David Nice: I said five stars cause of the great story telling, great character growth. Especially Aang and Toph because their both very different characters. Yet they learn from each other, they still remaining friends and not enemies. It teaches the reader that we need all kinds of kinds people things activities and so forth. This story also makes it clear to the reader why they made The Promise and The search! When I look back at those stories I feelt The Promise was about certain change and looking forward to New things in the future with different race living together. The Search was about certain things staying the same and excepting it. Like Zuko staying firelord and Ozai still being Zuko's biological father. It make sense why they keep mentioning the past and the future in this book! Genius!!! All I can say is that we need more fight scenes and maybe better villains in the next story of Last Airbender but other then that keep up the good work.
