Brooklynn Blakeney: I was having issues with me neighbors’ dog defecating in my yard. After asking her nicely to watch her dog when it comes out and to be attacked with cuss words and insults, I realized I would have to handle this on my own.
I read that cayenne pepper is a humane way to keep animals out of your yard. I sprinkled it around the perimeter of my yard for a week straight. It’s been almost 2 months now and my daughter can play and ride her bike in our yard with falling or running into dog feces.

Kevin Wise: I got this because we were having issues with my neighbors dog coming in my yard to relieve herself. We've tried Dog Mace & many other product that didn't work. She just would keep coming back. So I read that dogs don't like Cayenne pepper, I decide to try this. I put it heavy on the side she frequently use and told my hubby to put some on the other side of our yard (he only put it lightly). I saw her come up to where she frequently go, sniff then try to find an area to enter, not finding it she ran to the next neighbor. The next day I saw her on camera coming front the side where my hubby treated, so I when out and treated the edges heavily. My hubby said he saw her the next day going across the street to relieve herself. So if you're having problems with dogs this is the answer. I put it on the edges just like a fence, and in spots that were yellow they they had marked. Make sure you have gloves on, don't touch your eyes, nose, or mouth and try not to do it on a windy day.

DLS: I didn't buy it for cooking, but to keep rabbits from eating my garden. I went on vacation last year and I returned to see every green thing in my yard chewed down to nothing including about 100 English bean plants that were very tall and producing like crazy. And when I say nothing...I mean nothing, not even a little bit of stem left. My hostas, some which were about 4 feet wide were gone too, no leaves or stems. To say I was devastated was an understatement. I looked up how to deter rabbits from eating plants and one of the sites recommended cayenne pepper. I had some success with it when it comes to deterring dogs from pooping in the yard of my former house, so I ordered some. It definitely did the trick! The rabbits still come in my yard but they don't go anywhere near my vegetables or my hostas, which is what I wanted. Also, this is a great value for the price. I purchased this brand several times since then and probably continue to do so in the future.
As for the flavor, I have no idea. I've never tasted this product because I'm not a big fan of cayenne pepper in food. It smells quite pungent, though. I imagine it would give a big kick to any dish it's added in.

Ms Bubbles: This Cayenne Pepper was Great! It prevented cats and other animals from coming in the yard. I BOUGHT it to prevent dogs from digging. Now most dogs I believe it would work. But MY dogs. Well they’re kinda dumber then a door nail. I might add they are chihuahuas so yeah I know That explains A LOT!! Well my dogs first sniffed and licked. Was great I gave the word NO. But they sneezed for awhile. But once the dodos realized they just need water to help their sneeze they went back to digging. So yes bigger dogs this would be great because against one side of the fence huskies and they didn’t come near the fence once cayenne went down.
Oh and side note when sprinkling on the lawn or area. More IS NOT better. And possible use a fertilizer spreader. Definitely DO NOT use your hands then touch your eyes. Very bad!! And finally DO NOT SPREAD ON A WINDY DAY!! But on the plus side cleared my sinuses and I did not have to take an allergy pill for a week.
