Anita: I really tried to like this oven, i even called the phone number 3 times , and emailed (no response) about how to operate this oven.. the manual is very very basic.. had a terrible time trying to figure out the presets.. then when i did , it did not cook well at all, especially on air fry , toast only one side cooked.. hamburgers 40 ‘mins and still raw on inside, had to finish them up , in microwave.. French fries, i amke my own , inside of fries nice, but rubbery on outside… i really wanted this oven to work, as i liked the idea of the steam, but its a shallow well in bottom of the oven, which means drip tray has to be removed, so that means meat mess will run all over the bottom… i did try the steam function, but couldn’t get it to steam very well.. I think it was defective, as I couldn’t get the elements to turn red … when i called , the girl really tried to help, and even called me back with answers, but it was such a disappointment… so i did return it.. beware they require you to carry the unit to a ups store.. which was difficult for us, as my husband and I couldn’t lift it very well .. and it was hard on us getting it into our vehicle, then trying to get it...

Duane A. Priest: I'm not going to repeat the manufacturer's description of the product, but instead will focus on what I find both positive and negative about the product:

PROS:
This toaster is good looking and fits well into my kitchen décor. It looks like a professional product, but it's lightweight and easy to move about.

The unit works fast and produces a consistent level of toasting at each setting. The toasting is consistent across a slice of bread... there are no hot spots or extra dark areas. This unit is much faster than my older KitchenAid toaster.

The toaster is easy to clean by emptying the crumb trays.

CONS:

Like many others have noted, the browning control needs some help. I've got mine set between 2 and 3, and I think any higher setting would burn the toast. It's almost like a 3-setting toaster: white, toasted, burned.

I've managed to tweak the settings so that they work consistently for my needs. I will continue to use the product. I'm not sure I'd order it again... I might try something else so I can have a bit more variety in toasting. I'm giving this 4 stars because all of the other functions are fine and I am using the product...

Immovable WorldImmovable World: This review is for the Geek Chef stainless steel wide 4 slot toaster. It has 6 toast darkness settings but you won't need them all because this thing is not set to stun, more on that soon. There is a setting for bagels and defrost as well as a cancel button but that is it. It came packed with cardboard in all the slots and under the levers so it was done very well.

When you get the toaster it is important that you read the instructions. You need to do a cycle or 2 with no toast inside the toaster to burn off any potential stuff from manufacturing.

First thing I noticed was how nice the toaster looked. This really does look great on the counter. Mostly stainless steel construction and a lot of it is very shiny as well. The cord is a little short and comes out from the right hand side which makes it a little difficult if you need to plug it in on the left. You can route the cord underneath the toaster but I dislike doing this.

My issues with it are with the toast settings. Looking on the listing it shows 1-3 as being very light and then 4 as starting to darken and 5 and 6 as fairly dark. This would be great if it were true. The first piece of toast I put the...
