GEARWRENCH 15-Piece Serpentine Belt Tool Set with Locking Flex Head Ratcheting Wrench

Metal Tech: I had a straight bar style and due to the lines and shroud mount on my 08 Ram it was an absolute pain to get the tensioner moved enough to release the tension on the belt. This with its ratcheting link made the job get done in just a minute or so. The previous tool took 10x longer with way more difficulty. If you have an 07.5-09 Ram, this is what you need to preserve your sanity when trying to do anything with the tensioner.

John Ramahlo Jr.: Was really looking forward to using this and keeping it in my automotive tool kit, BUT, the flex/ratcheting head was just too big for use on my car (Honda). There was no way it would fit in to get to the pulley bolt to de-tension. I expect on many/most cars it would be fine but wouldn't fit and ended up using an offset box wrench as in the past.

Nice case and appears to be a comprehensive set of socket sizes and options.

Car guy G: Gear wrench has gotten better sense the buyout. It’s showing in product upgrades. This set being the second upgrade set next to the other set that does not have flex head ratchet. The set is etched nicely. It’s basically the pass through set with nice handle extension. Lifetime warranty!

Andy Bradfield: I have brought two of these sets. One for the workshop tool box and one to keep on my Breakdown van. They have never failed me and always proven handy on hard to reach tensioners. I recommend keeping the retaining pins from the new tensioners to aid removal of the old ones. There is a handy storage portion in the box to keep them.

Corey F.Corey F.: Owned the previous model decided to upgrade to the locking flex head version. Unfortunately i was so disappointed to see I had duplicates of the 16mm socket and was missing the 14mm socket which is a popular size used for most belt tensioners. Luckily for me I still kept my previous version so I can always replace my missing socket. Still sucks that I won't be able to sell the older version now.
