Etienne GallantEtienne Gallant: I use these wrenches for the last 6 years now. I can confidently say that they are always my top pick when i do any kind of brake, suspension or steering jobs on vehicles. The extra leverage of these is a real benefit for braking loose any stubborn fasteners. These are also flat, there is no angle in them. It allows me to reach easier any fasteners without interfering with other components. I was surprised at first, i thought that the opposite would happen, nice surprise!

After a full 6 years of use, i must say that the finish still looks very good. They are easy to clean with a small spray of brake cleaner and a quick wipe with a clean rag. Nothing more is needed. There was no need for me to contact Gearwrench/Apex for any warranty issues so far; the wrenches have held up to hundreds different jobs since without asking for a break! Their inner ratcheting mechanism still works fine on all of them.
Would i buy this same set again? Absolutely, without any hesitations. With this set including sizes from 8-19mm, it covers most mechanical needs for a small shop.

Also, use them smartly, don’t use extra leverage on them. Don’t use the ratcheting mechanism for braking...

Berube: If you've ever had a stubborn bolt or nut that just didn't want to break free with your standard combination wrench you'll appreciate having this set of GearWrench ratcheting wrenches in your arsenal. Since buying my set, I almost exclusively reach for these first as the set is comprehensive (including every size from 8mm to 19mm) and these wrenches in addition to offering great leverage on stubborn fasteners let your work faster since once you break the bolt or nut free with the standard end of the wrench you can turn it around and use the ratcheting end to quickly remove the fastener. Not to mention the non-ratcheting box end is level with the wrench on one side and protrudes below the wrench on the other making it easy to remove recessed bolts or fit into tight spaces.

That said, my rating on these has been trending downward as the updates posted below chronicle the failures I had with these wrenches. For daily, professional use, (not abused either, I've only used the wrench itself, never put anything on them to make them longer) they simply don't hold up as you would expect them to. Amazon Customer: These wrenches are absolutely amazing. They are very long, giving great leverage to break off most bolts and fasteners no problem. They also have the gearwrench ratcheting mechanism, very handy after breaking off a bolt. The wrenches have a nice shiny finish to them, and they feel really good in your hands. They don't bite into skin like the MAC wrenches, but are not as smooth as the Snap-on ones. My 15mm wrench's ratchet feels a lot looser than the other ones, so that might be a defect. Overall, very good set to have in your box.
