Daniel L Carazo: Our old doorbell died, and I did not want to run electrical wiring through the wall to the front entrance doorway. Choosing this GE battery-operated doorbell was the perfect solution. All you need is a screw driver (to open the bell ringer in order to insert the disc battery that comes with the set), and you must supply (3) Type C batteries for the bell chime which is installed inside the house. You can install the ringer by drilling 2 screw holes, or by using the supplied adhesive strip which was my choice.

ian rogers: The doorbell itself is attached with an adhesive that is impossible to reattach, so be sure you know exactly where you want it. The indoor chime is on a complicated two screw mount, so be sure you measure exactly. It was very easy to set up but difficult to mount.
Note that the chimes are all very electronic sounding, loud, and most are pretty awful. In all likelihood only the default door chime will be of any use. A standard "bing-bong" sound would have been nicer.

Jane Dough: Easy to install, love a selection of ring tones. BUT, it isn't loud enough. Would love it if it had a loud, medium, and soft selection. If it were loud enough I'd give it 5 stars. But it was cheap, got it quickly, and it will be temporary until I decide if I want a camera doorbell. I'm not sure if I want the invasion of privacy with the ones that connect to my internet. (I won't get an Alexa.)
