Take#2 aka my2cents: For many many years, we have had one of the brand name, little green camping stoves that require those little green propane bottles. For many many years we have bought those little green propane bottles many many times. Finally, although the stove is many many years old we have found a product that will save us many many bucks. We can now dispose of the 15 or so little green bottles that are laying around, and just keep two so we can refill them from our larger propane tanks. This item is genius.

Glenn W.: I love this thing, it has saved me so much money. I wish I knew about this years ago. I highly recommend this if you do a lot of camping or use the small green propane bottles.

Carol Sipprelle: Used once since purchasing! It meet all our needs, size, easy to clean. We cooked hamburgers for a family of five. It sustained the burgers nicely big enough, the heat was controllable! Clean up pretty easy for grilling! I am a female senior and I was worried I wouldn’t be able to lift or carry by myself, I was able to do both without much strain.
It was perfect for the beach BBQ FOR FAMILY!

Mark Chun: This is my 2nd adapter. The first was from another seller & manufacture that was a disaster. It leaked like crazy making it extremely dangerous and it ended up in the garbage can.
I've never put my blue container in the freezer like some have suggested and I get it pretty full. I just let it sit and fill while I do something else.
Here's some tips I'd like to pass on.
* Do it outside in a well ventilated area.
* Hand tighten the plastic part to 20lb tank and then use a wrench to snug it up. I leave it connected permanently now.
* Hand tighten the brass part to the blue container that's being refilled. Then turn it another 1/2 - 3/4 turn more with a wrench. I've written on my blue container ">3/4" to remind me to do that. When I don't turn it more and wiggle the container while filling it may leak.
* Sniff and listen when filling to make sure you have a good connection. It will be pretty obvious if it's not tight.
* My 14oz blue container weighed 28oz when purchased brand new. After filling it for a while I'll disconnect it and weigh it. If it's not close to the 28oz then reconnect and continue to fill.
* Use scotch tape on blue container...

Simon V.: Arrived as stated and is easy to use. With the cost of the small propane bottles these days, it pays for itself after filling only one 1bl. bottle.

Richard A.: These devices do the job but they do not completely refill the empty bottle in the same way as a refill station does. I estimate that the 1 lb bottle being refilled from my 40 lb only gets 50% filled if that.

John B.: High quality and works great.
Here's the science, without math. When a tank is half full, half the contents are liquid (LP=liquid propane) and half are gas. The liquid turns to gas until a certain gas pressure is reached inside, equalibrium. Opening the valve lets gas out, reducing pressure in the tank causing more fuel to turn from liquid to gas as fast as you use it. When you burn all the fuel, the gas pressure inside becomes that of air, well below that of a tank still having liquid inside.
An empty little tank will partially fill from an upside down big tank, because the little tank's gas pressure is lower than the big tank's pressure. But, as soon as some liquid gets into the small tank, it starts to turn to gas because the little tank's pressure is low.
For all gases, PV=nRT where nR is a constant and thus Pressure times Volume is proportional to Temperature. When you put your little tank in the freezer, you lower the temperature without changing the volume (i.e tank size) so the pressure must go down. If the small tank was empty to start with, the pressure was already low, that of air, and now it becomes less than air. If the little tank wasn't quite empty, its...
