MHMH: So far works better than expected! We have used it every day for the past 2 weeks with no problems. I have 35 psi water pressure and have plumbed my shower to work with cold water as well. THIS IS NOT its advertised use, but we wanted an outdoor shower with cold water option. We also cover it when not in use and I plan to add a roof over the unit. Very pleased so far and will update if necessary. I also have very hard water and I'll report on how well it holds up. If it last 2-3 years I will be happy!.

Michele D. Schillinger: I am using the product as a permanent install to a camper van. As such, I hardlined water and LPG inputs into the unit. Based on the technical data sheet and manual, I believed that the LPG connection was a 1/2" BSP to 5/8" Flared Male. This is not correct, or at the very least misleading - the LPG connection ends in a 3/8" Flared Male (which may or may not have a 5/8" OD, hence the misleading).
Furthermore, the water input connection is listed as a 1/2" BSP male, with boxed converters to 3/4" GHT. However, I was able to thread on a 1/2" NPT connection no problem and with far less leakage than the GHT's. I don't know how different BSP to NPT is, but you can definitely make it work using your standard Sharkbite Female 1/2".

Once I sorted through all my customizations, it works fine and is fairly intuitive. I imagine if you're using a standard BBQ and garden hose, you'd have no problem whatsoever.

I bought this 5 l propane gas water heater to use in the backyard of my house.

I wanted a quick way to have hot water in order to quickly rinse off people and especially my dog after a swim in the pool.

After I swim I like to soap off and shower my dog outside so that he can dry off quickly outdoors.. this small gas heater does a fantastic job at that specific task. It comes with a 3/4 or 1/2 in adapter for your garden hose and a fairly standard certified gas hose for your propane tank. It does come with a braided hose for your shower head that is also included however I highly recommend purchasing a much longer shower hose which is pretty standard .... It's the same shower hose you would put in your bathtub. And also I recommend getting a metal proper heavy duty shower wand . The one that's included with this product is rather cheap and plastic. The hose is really short as well.

Chris C.: So let's get this out of the way for the people that are viewing this and have no idea if it may or may not work. It does work, and it works wonderfully.

Specifically I went ahead and bought the model that comes with the LED temp reading which I need to emphasize is in Celsius not Fahrenheit. Not a big deal once you Google how to convert between C to F so whatever. Frankly the readout is necessary otherwise you'll be relying on feeling alone. The hot water this puts out is just jaw dropping, we set it on the "Winter" setting on the upper-middle Dial and with just halfway up the gas and the water pressure dial at full (all the way to the left) it will easily put out hot water at 44 Celsius (Roughly 111 Degrees Fahrenheit) which is my ideal temperature for taking a shower but a more consistent temperature of 42 celsius (107 Fahrenheit) seems to be the norm for this heater. It'll all depend on the temp of your incoming water and how high you have your gas dial set. Where I've set it up, I draw water from a standard Garden Hose faucet with water coming out at about 56-57 Degrees Fahrenheit and it will heat up that water immediately in about 10 seconds or so.
