Lightweight, strong motor, and it cuts great.

MikeyLikey: Great mower! I love it! I only left 4 stars bc I was missing a couple screws to keep the handle bar in place, but I took them from my old mower so it works

Jon Cveticanin: Love it!!!! Its light enough to pick up carry in my pick up, to my Masonic lodge, to cut the grass there. And to older members homes. I like the side discharge.

DuncanC: This is your grandfather's mower. You have to add oil, and it has no extra features. The good thing about all that is - it is very light. I am a 120-pound, 64-year old woman, and I have no problem pushing it around my large yard with some slopes and a lot of trees and shrubs. Several years ago, when my very long-lasting but very heavy John Deere push mower finally died, I got a self-propelled mower - I knew I couldn't push around something like that JD much longer. When the self-propelled died, I decided to try this one. Because of all the maneuvering around trees, it's easier to use than the self-propelled.
Some people complained about the poor packaging. It was - one of the big adjusting screw things on the handle was missing on mine and required a trip to Ace to buy a $3 replacement. Annoying, but not enough to downgrade. I really like this mower.
Note two years later: Now I am 66 and still easily pushing this mower around, and still love it. It got hung up on a short stump buried in tall grass once last year. It was stuck so tight I had to get under it and cut it out with a pruning saw. I assumed I would at least need a new blade and maybe a new lawn mower, but...

S. Johnson: JUNE 2021 UPDATE: Still working perfectly! The only thing that sucks about MTD made walk behind mowers like this one is that the side discharge flap will fall off if you come into contact with high grass. Other than that, i love it.
This is the best mower ive ever had...and ive had plenty, both old and new. I have always only purchased mowers with Briggs & Stratton engines, so i was a bit afraid to purchase this mower. Im impressed with it, it does not bog down in thick or long grass like ive had happen with a handful of Briggs equipped mowers that had the same or more power. Its easy to maneuver and cuts the grass perfectly. Its also pretty light weight, so pushing it is a breeze, especially with the oversized wheels. I update my reviews regularly, and will be back to update this, given a few months of use.
