The Gardus RLE202 LintEater Rotary Dryer Vent Cleaning System is the best commercial lint remover on the market. It's easy to use and provides overall satisfaction and battery efficiency. The system is built with high-quality materials and includes bonus lint trap brush, blockage removal tool, vacuum and dryer adapters. It can extend up to 12 feet with four flexible 3-rod pieces. Phil CPhil C: Saw this on a YouTube video or 2. My dad vacuums his dryer vent every few months and I want to see how much more comes out using this lint scrubber.
I was not expecting this much lint to be up there.
Have 2 sets of plyers ready to unbind the screw joints when you are removing the poles, and you might need it for the drill adapter. Attach the poles as you feed them, not beforehand; I removed them in the same manor.
Pro version might be well worth it so you don't have to unscrew bound poles or worry about reversing your drill by accident
There was no way I was going on the roof, so glad this system will accommodate that with the vacuum and ground floor method.

Azimuth: Works like advertised. Pulled out 20 years worth of lint. I could weave an Indian blanket with what came out of the vent.

Honest Opine: The extension was delivered and the item received is as described. The extension helps with that dryer duct that is longer, my dryer is on the second floor and the duct runs to the roof with a few turns snaking through the attic. This will ensure a long enough run is clear of lint to provide dryer efficiency.

Jarrett CogginJarrett Coggin: Recently purchased an old house and due to some of the choices made by previous owners (quick and dirty paint jobs, cheapest option on a number of "upgrades", etc.), I thought that I might need to clean the dryer vent. This was later confirmed after about a month in the new place when it was taking us multiple cycles to dry clothes in the dryer I had purchased.
I was initially a little nervous to clean the dryer vent myself, but it felt like bringing someone out would be a like asking a car mechanic to build a Ford Mustang lego set. So, I did a little research on YouTube and came across a video that mentioned this specific product. I figured for the price it was worth a shot, and if things went terribly, I could still bring someone out.
I am so glad I did this myself! The whole process took about two hours, but that was due to the complexity of the situation (and fighting with the flex duct to connect the dryer back to the dryer vent). The dryer vent I cleaned out is over 30 feet long with THREE right angle turns in the vent. I bought a couple of sets of compatible extension rods for this kit as well.
Using this vent cleaner was very easy! I turned off the gas...

Darryl: Our dryer is located on the second floor and this is where I started. The vent is a 90 degree downward turn followed by another immediate 90 degree turn (both metal) towards the outside wall. The overall length of the foil vent (straight run) is 20 feet.
After cleaning a length of 9 feet I went outside to finish cleaning the vent, but it was blocked and I couldn’t use the full 12 feet of cleaning rods. I confirmed it was blocked using an electric leaf blower so I went back in the house and started the cleaning process again and the brush cleared the blockage.
We used the leaf blower again and the airflow was amazing. We cleaned out so much lint it was scary, almost a plastic shopping bag full.
Key points when using this. I used Loctite on the thread for the brush and the small set screw. All rods were secured using two sets of pliers and electrical tape. Be careful not to over tighten. The drill was operated on a very slow setting and a shop vac attached to the adapter worked great. I also pulled back on the brush why operating the drill.
I’m very happy with my purchase.

b fast: I just finished cleaning two long dryer ducts. Both had elbows. One had a section of metal flex hose. I was impressed at how this thing slinked around the elbows and flex hose. It wasn't like you didn't notice them, but with a reasonably small amount of cajoling it would go through. That's the good part.
However:
1 - The vacuum adapter didn't fit my shop vac. Even the size adjusting ring was far too large. I had to fiddle to get a solution (Big blob of duct tape at the end of my vacuum hose.)
2 - Whether it is the segments or the little drill adapter, these things could not be unthreaded by hand. Separating these segments after use required two pairs of pliers. I wish for a hex nut face on each of the metal ends so I could use small wrenches instead. It would be doubly nice if they then included two super-cheap wrenches.
For totally doing what it claims -- 5 stars.
For requiring two pairs of pliers to use it -- minus 1 star.

LarillionLarillion: I just finished cleaning my duct and it worked amazing. I had a 90 degree bend right at the beginning and it handled it well. My duct was about 30’ long as well and I bought the extension kit. With that, I was able to just barely reach the end and it succeeded. Before and after pictures posted. Now, here’s the details:
1- Never ever ever put the thing in reverse, especially if you get stuck. You could open one of the junctions and your parts would be stuck in the vent. So you always go forward.
2- The rods should always stay straight. If they begin to twist up and bend, stop immediately. If it goes too far, you can bend a rod so bad that it’s almost useless. I did that.
3 - Use the thinner brush to get through hard parts first and then the full duct width brush to clean everything up after.
4 - Keep a pair of pliers handy. You will need them to help disconnect a section after it’s been drilled tightly.
5 - Go slow. If it binds up, pull back and move ahead slowly. If you can get past a spot, pull it all out because you likely have a massive amount of lint.
All in all, it worked amazing. I cleaned my 30’ duct for the first time in 20 years since the...

toybiztoybiz: Dryer lint, who would have thought or gave it any? Just like any other appliance, like our cars, We just put in the key, fill up some gas or plug it in when you remember to and go about our merry way right? Who would have thought appliances we take for granted need maintenance? The audacity of it all right?
Well, when it comes to your car, you don't maintain it, it stops running. With your dryer, you don't maintain it, well, you don't maintain it. Clothes take longer to dry and for some mysterious reason, the metal cabinet get much warmer than before, or so your think. Who checks how warm their dry cabinet gets right? In the Winter, its a plus to have this additional source of heat.
This would be in a fantasy world, you know that one that someone else takes care of everything for you. The last time I had that I was living with my parents and a very long time ago. So let's get down to why you NEED to do this maintenance. Lint - tiny bits of fiber from your clothing that break off during the drying process and blows out that vent pipe connected to the back of your dryer. When everything is shiny and new, most of it probably blows out into the atmosphere or onto your...

homer: I watched a YouTube video to see how this was done. This product did the job flawlessly. I did have to buy some extension rods due to the length of the ducts.
