He gets bad hip pain during his growth spurts and this makes sitting to do his work easier. I discovered these balls with the legs to prevent the ball from rolling away in my sons school. His school has 2 in each class room and the kids all want to use them. They are good for adults too.

Angelica C.Angelica C.: We have one of these from a different brand. The ball itself is great quality. The air pump arrived broken in the sense or function, it was in one piece, but the air kept leaking from the top of the manual pump. I am returning because the measurements are a little off. The 52cm includes the legs. Once my kid sits on it and the legs go flat, it’s too short. Not sure why this is recommended for 8-11. My daughter is 7 and it was too small.

Kendal: I love these as a flexible seating option but I do find that they don’t last as long as I would like around children haha. I have had about one pop each year (and I only ever have 2-3 in the classroom at the start of the year). They always seem to pop by accident but I couldn’t find a way to successfully cover the hole to continue use so they just get thrown away.

Joy: Compared to the therapy in balls in education and therapy catalogs (which are grossly over-priced in my opinion), this therapy ball has outstanding quality for the price! Both my girls use this (got each of them one), and it withstand their daily abuse, uh I mean, use.
Unfortunately my youngest poked hers with a safety pin, and it never recovered (despite emergency treatment with good ol' duct (duck?) tape. Too short for sitting at a traditional, adult-sized desk, but perfect for kid-sized desks. Plus, you get your bicep and forearm workout for the day by pumping it up (and the inflation lasts for months!).

J. Holzhauer: I bought this ball for my son before we had to start remote schooling this past year. He has terrible posture and I had hoped this would help that as well as accommodate his tendency to wiggle. But it’s just too small for his desk.
And yet I give this product 5 stars, because I am quite convinced this thing is indestructible. It has become the favorite gaming seat for my younger two sons. They sit on it. Bounce on it. Ride it like one of those bouncy balls with handles we used to have as kids.
And it is absolutely unchanged! It never lost air, never popped or leaked. They love this thing! My younger two are ages 9 and 5, and they are the total opposite of gentle.
So it is not being used the way I intended, but it is a fantastic product and I would recommend it to anyone.

Tree3three: Got this for Kindergartner who is learning virtually. Searched many balls-based on reviews went with this one. The material is strong and holds air. Problem with is it difficult for him to actually “sit on” easily without bouncing or rolling around to a point where it’s not the safest to sit on in front of a desk-if he sits on the middle of it it will roll forwards or backwards. I have tried adjusting the amount of air in it but haven’t found a size that makes it easier for him to sit and the instructions aren’t very clear on what diameter it’s supposed to be. He has a good sense of balance in general-I don’t think that is it. My guess is the length of his legs are not long enough to touch the ground when on it-kids have different body proportions even if they are the same “height.” He enjoys (sometimes too enthusiastically) bouncing on in when sitting at his desk) which does get some wiggles out when in front of a screen for hours) so did not return it. However, my goal was to have something he could also keep still on while he writes and does projects. As a reference, I (5’4” and well over 100lbs) am able to balance on it just fine without rolling and it...

The Ryans: This ball works perfectly for my 8 year old. We’re doing our district’s online option during the pandemic, and I wanted my daughter to be able to switch back and forth between a regular chair and a ball for when she got restless. While only 10” tall when she sits on it, the ball is actually perfect because the desk we bought was a bit on the small side. She loves bouncing on her ball! It’s not the most stable, but I don’t think that’s the ball’s fault. She doesn’t have the best control yet, but that will come with time and practice. The legs give it some stability over a regular ball, but not much. Very satisfied with the purchase.

amatheson: My 7 year old loves his ball chair. He will use it to hop around the house (great for rainy days when he can't get outdoors) It was smaller than I had thought so keep that in mind.

Amy McWilliams: Bought this for my very wiggly daughter to do school. Worked perfectly other than it busted very easy when it came in contact with a pencil.
Hopefully she learned her lesson as I will be buying another one.
