Futura Drafting Table with Adjustable Work Surface for Crafting and Drawing

Meigo Fitzpatrick: I'm using this as a hobby art table to work on drawings, I've been involved with creating fantasy art since I was in high school and enjoy creating art involving monsters, dragons, and wild scenes. I decided to get this table because I wanted to give myself something to add value to my life and help get my son into doing art of some kind since he enjoys drawing SCP monsters (from the SCP book series and videos on youtube). So it looks like once I get some money I'll be ordering him his own art table. one of my dislikes is it doesn't come with lighting, but one can be added easy with a $20 add on light, and if you want to get in to tracing styles and making something off of another artist the light can be used under the glass to bring out whatever your looking to add to your paper. assembly was about 2 or 3 hours, and the only annoying part was getting the plastic boxes together. The table is sturdy, and very cool to be using it at different angles while working on different projects. I would recommend this purchase to friends and anyone interested in getting an art table- btw I've seen tables like this for almost twice the price at the local brick and mortar store, so the price...

Barb's dog art: This drafting table is my new art desk. The 35 degree angle tilt is perfect for me. It is great quality and worth every penny. It looks great, is very sturdy, the slide out tray holds all my coloured pencils and erasers, slice tools, and sharpeners for the current projects. It could stand to slide out a few more inches but on the other hand it doesn't get in my way like it might if it pulled out further. Slides easily. The glass top is more than ample space to hold my projects as well as a reference photo I am working from. I got the light box support bars which holds my smaller light box nicely. Only problem with mine is the button to turn it on is now between the glass top and light box and is difficult to reach. But, as I always use it on brightest setting I have just left it on and plug it in when I want to use it, problem solved. The blue glass does not seem to interfere with the light box shining thru. Quality product for sure including the 3 drawers on the side.

Josh T.Josh T.: Being 6' 6" I went for this because of the leg extensions. The leg extension can be added together. I got two to make it a foot taller. Still a wee bit short so I'll be getting another set of leg extensions.

The only bad, I was super nervous that the box was destroyed and there was only a thin layer of styrofoam protecting the glass. Luckily it was safe, but man there should be more protection.

S. L. P.S. L. P.: One of the four suction cups that supports the glass shelf on the side of the table is missing. (See the photo included.) We need the manufacturer to send the part in order to properly install the glass in the folding side shelf.

Kiran: A pain to put together but once done it's a solid table, with no rocking, or unevenness. Glass top makes it easier to clean paint spot.

Cristina Medrano: Es muy bonito este restirador, luce muy bien una vez armado. No es tan pesado como imaginaba. Las partes metálicas (o sea el 95%) se perciben muy fuertes y que van a durar muchos años. Magnífica la superficie de vidrio templado, muy útil para calcar y pintar en acuarela con el papel mojado. Las partes de plástico no me parecen tan buenas, se sienten frágiles y está claro que no durarán tanto, especialmente las charolas para lápices, que además tienen unos huecos redondos para guardar cosas que la verdad están demasiado chiquitos y poco profundos, no sé ni qué poner ahí. Con todo estoy satisfecha, me gusta. El armado me tomó 3 horas y media y eso que me considero hábil para armar cosas. Yo creo que a la mayoría de la gente le va a tomar al menos dos horas y usando el instructivo. En YouTube hay un par de buenos videos sobre el armado que son muy útiles.

Lorne: This is a really great product for the money, and kudos to all the transport companies and warehouse staff that moved it 3500 miles undamaged to my house, via 4 separate warehouses.
The assembly is fairly straightforward and the table is a lot sturdier than expected. I’m very pleased. The only gripe I would have is the pencil ledge. I get the thought process behind it, but a fixed channel would be a better option.

Resolutions & pitfalls for people having assembly issues.
Part 4, the center section MUST have the holes in the horizontal bars facing down. One reviewer unnecessarily gave it a one star because he put the center bar in upside down.
Open the screw pack one compartment at a time, separate the screws or bolts of that compartment into piles on a table and label them with a numbered piece of paper that match the parts list. For example, the first compartment has parts 27 & 38. Separated out you’ll have 16 Philips bolts (part 27) and two 3/16 nuts (part 38). This method ensures you easily find the right bolt/screw for the right location.
All part #24 bolts need to be tight for stability except those fastening the drawer support bars on page 5....

kung-fusion: First of all, this table is well worth the price charged. With tax it came to about $160 shipped. For something this big and heavy to have free shipping is incredible. I got the blue glass version because it was listed about $20 cheaper than the other versions, and I happened to like it best as well. I do some tracing, so I wanted to avoid the black glass models.

My biggest fear was that it would arrive damaged. The box they ship these in is barely big enough to hold all the parts, with only a few sheets of thin Styrofoam protecting the inside parts. When my box arrived, it looked fairly beat up. I opened and inspected all the parts, and found that the important parts were intact. One of the drawers was cracked, and a piece of the frame on the rear part of the desk was bent a little. Neither of these things were dealbreakers. The company's website has an order form for free replacement parts in the event of damage or missing parts. Apparently, it is fairly common with this unit. Heed that warning if you are buying this for someone else with a deadline to give it to them. If you get a good one, you are lucky.
