Terry W.: First of all, these boots are made in Mexico. Second, they came in an unmarked box with a note that read “these boots are original, the original box was damaged”. What?!?! Third, one boot was stretched out and the other one tight as heck! I bought shoe stretching spray and tried it 3 times on the tight shoe, but still too tight and uncomfortable. I had been wanting these for a while but the price kept me from purchasing them. Huge, huge disappointment.

GDC: Love the look. Great quality. My only issue is they are quite narrow and I don’t have wide feet. I’ve been trying to break them in and stretch them out but after along day it’s a little painful. Short wear so far they are great and I’m sure once they are stretched it’ll be perfect.

Patty Lynn: UPDATE: After returning these boots, I ordered them directly from Frye (because I really like the look of them!) I received them today and I had to update my review. The boots sold on Amazon are definitely fake. As I said in my previous review, I would have kept them if they fit properly since the price was so good. But, please be warned that they are NOT real Frye boots. The pair I received today fit perfectly, the leather is soft and supple and they are branded with the Frye logo on the inside. The Amazon boots are really narrow in the toe box, the shaft is very stiff and there is no branding except on the sole (and the box). Just wanted to give everyone a heads up.
I love the look of these boots. I have been searching for a great pair of biker/combat boots and these are perfect. The price was also amazing, considering the cheapest I could find them for anywhere else was $400.
But.... I'm not saying they are fake, I just have a few concerns. Particularly with the fit. I own a pair of Frye shoes (purchased directly from Frye) and a pair of tall Frye boots (purchased from The Bay. Both fit perfectly. The ones I order through Amazon are really narrow in the toe box,...

CocoaPuffs: I needed this pair of boots for a trip but I was worried they wouldn’t arrive in time. So I ordered this, and another pair from a different seller, and planned to return the pair that arrived late.
The other pair arrived a day before, and those weren’t what I expected at all! I can’t believe size 6 is too small for me (been wearing Veronica size 6 for 10 years now!!) After going through 5 pairs of Fryes I’m sure I can tell whether they are fake or not. Not to mention I’m actually replacing an exact same pair I bought 3 years ago. Anyway, I decided to keep that pair until I receive this pair today just to compare them for fun.
This pair is the real deal, from packaging, tags, leather, inside labels, to metal buckles and shoe soles, everything is so familiar! So GET THEM!! This leather is beautiful too!

Jennifer CJennifer C: I have been wanting these boots for a long time. I have 2 other pair of Frye boots and I always struggle with the price tag. I don't mind spending money on good, quality shoes but Frye is out of my financial comfort zone. However, I am quickly assured that I have made a sound investment with each pair. My first pair were Campus. Ordered too big but after finding the right insole, they are perfect. Second was Veronica Slouch tall. Such a Bad A** looking boot!! Ordered normal size (10). Had to have them professionally stretched. They were so very hard to get on at first and leather was so stiff across the wide part of the foot, I was worried I made a painful investment. However, the boot stretching got it to a comfortable level that I could break them in more myself. 5 years my fav and they are very comfortable and still in great shape. These Veronica Short are the same (stiff, hard to get on) but seems like the leather is a bit softer. I think ordering up would be a mistake. It will take me a few less than comfortable days to get them broke in. I wore them at work, walking on concrete, first day for 8 hrs before having to relieve my feet. Not too bad. But I was wearing very thin...

Slowpitch Gal: Had a pair of FRYE cowboy boots when i was a teen and wore them to the ground. Needless to say, I've been looking for years to get a new pair but the prices are ridiculous! Couldn't believe my luck when I saw this pair on Amazon for an incredible price and miraculously, one pair left in my size (8). After reading reviews, I was scared the size 8 would be too tight because I usually take an 8 but sometimes a boot will be too tight to pull on at the top of the foot. I nervously put on a pair of socks and went to pull them on. Lo and behold, they fit perfectly! Even a wee bit room around the top of the foot, which is fabulous because when it gets cold, I'll have no issues wearing a thicker sock. The craftsmanship of the leather and attention to detail is exactly what I remembered from FRYE's and was hoping to see and feel. It's almost 38 Celsius (100 Fahrenheit for you Americans) in Toronto but here I am, walking around my neighbourhood in a pair of shorts and my FRYE's

Kittycat63: I'd heard of Frye boots and wanted a pair for quite awhile but as they're normally quite expensive and not readily available in the UK I hadn't yet got a pair, However, when browsing on here recently I was looking at the Frye shoes and boots and came across these at an unbelievably good price in my size so I HAD to buy them! I was so excited and couldn't wait to get them, When they arrived they were as impressive as I had hoped they'd be - they're packaged very nicely in a Frye box with details about the brand (the founder, ironically, was a BRITISH man, NOT an American!), how they're made, etc. I'd ordered a brown pair and the colour is EXACTLY as pictured on here - quite dark with a slight reddish tinge in parts. They're the classic biker boot style I've been craving for ages so am thrilled with the style, , they're incredibly sturdy (and the toe area in particular seems perhaps to be reinforced), the detailing is impressive and they're clearly not a cheap make! I was so impressed with them that I was soon looking at more Frye footwear on here and managed to snag two pairs of Kira Hi Top Studded Trainers on here, one pair in black and the other in beige, for about £25 a pair,...

Dee: I wear a regular width size 9 and have a "regular" heel. I found the boots to be true to size. The leather is stiff but I expected them to be. I bought them in October and have only worn them about six to ten times and only two of those times were for all day. I might still be in the breaking in phase. They are made to last and I'm sure it will takes some time to "make them mine." The front of the boot is fitting nicely and molding to my feet without any problem but I am having problem with the heel. My heel slips and I get blisters. I can't wear heavier socks or else the front would be too tight. I can't use any kind of heel strips because they come loose when putting the boots on. I'm puzzled about the heel fit. Maybe if the front loosens up a bit more then I can wear heavier socks. I have other boots that are comparable in quality (not as stiff and rugged though) and they felt good right out of the box. I'm new to this type of boot. Frye has a great reputation and I love the look of the boot and the quality. I'll update today's comment as time goes on.
April 2013: Unfortunately, these boots are not getting better with time. My heel still slips. I tightened the straps...
