Alyssa Hadeen: I have uses this leash for almost 6 months and there is no fraying the dogs love it. It doesn't hurt them, and they're not afraid of it. It keeps it shape for an easy lasso effect over the head. I put it on as a Bandalier when I get out my truck for easy accessibility. My number one staple for on duty. I use this rather than a control pole and have much better dogs. The thicker weight of it doesn't prevent doing a leash muzzle and it's more comfortable for the dog.

Readit: I have a 50lb German Shepherd mix and this works great for her. I prefer a slightly thinner rope as I have small hands, but I can still use this, and it is more comfortable for my dog than the thinner rope would be. I love the colour (teal) and it seems strong and durable, however I have only had it a short time. Even when it is wet it is easy to hold onto.
It looks exactly as the image shows. The faux leather pieces are quite soft. I thought they would hurt my hands but they do not.

Sarah: Things I do love about this product:
- the built-in reflective strips. These were super useful and gave me sense of mind for walking down my driveway/near roads at night. Wouldn't recommend as visibility for long night treks, but car headlights shining on them definitely made them light up pretty well :)
- the design, I really liked the faux leather accents, and as stated above, the implementation of the reflective strips
- quality, way better than a lot of other rope slip leads I've seen.
- the colors, I like the variety they offer and that they're a bit more unique shades then the standard red/blue/green

Saying that: Unfortunately, they didn't last a year. I only used them on my dogs to take them for potty breaks 2-3x a day; I have sturdier leashes/collars for their training and walks. The point of breakage was the faux leather tabs. I try to reduce what animal products I purchase, so I liked that these had the look/feel of leather, but as much as I hate to admit it, faux leather just does not compare to the real thing. Biothane is definitely stronger than either, but the accents on these leashes was cheap pleather.

David: While we still use tradtional collars and leash, this item is terrific for several non-training situations and I would recommend it heartily. First, we keep it handy when we know company is coming to the front door or the UPS man is arriving because it is extremely easy and fast to slip over our pup's head and it provides enough control to get through exciting events. Teaching the dog to love it took about 10 minutes. Make a big loop, offer a treat and have the dog stick his head through. That simple. No buckles to fuss with. Second, if a dog has to wear a "no lick cone" for any reason, this lead is perfect. You make a really big loop and it fits easily over the cone. EZ PZ. Third, the cord diameter is large and the materials soft. Easy on a dog's neck and throat. Now that our 6 month old Lab is leash trained, we often use this lead for casual moments (like stopping for a piddle) because it is easy to use and provides control and safety for a dog.

Cath Andrews: We have a 60 kilo sheepdog who is immensely strong and often very stubborn, so we need a strong lead! This fit the bill perfectly. Nice length, good strong rope that even she can't manage to bite through, and a lovely rich colour. Much better quality than other leads we've had.

walksalot: Love these leashes and took a chance on ordering, simply because I was wanting climbing rope slip leashes. They are very equivalent to the ones I have that were almost $30 each. We have 5 dogs we take in and out to potty, and these are SO easy to slip over their heads and go! I use them also for my treks to the track where I always take one to train while there, and logging in my miles. I have 3 Aussies (2yrs and 3, a Border collie 7 month old, and 6yr old German Shepherd). I've trained them all, and the Aussies and Border are still in training for Obedience and agility. Mine have been trained to not pull, and to either "heel", or walk on a loose leash, so I don't have to "correct" very often with these slip leashes. But a gentle "reminder" is all I need out in the world and the "heel" or "steady" command, if one gets ahead of me. The quality of these are awesome and the colors are great. I ordered 4 (2 blue, an olive, and a black). The ring and leather "catch" are perfect for loosening , and the catch can easily be moved up or down. Happy with this purchase, and highly recommend. Quality at a very nice price!
