Mark: This product works exactly as described but I can't use it on my fridge. My biggest problem, as I'm sure it is with many other people, is the freezer door. When I close the freezer door the fridge door pops open just a little bit (this is a side by side fridge). Sometimes it pops open enough to trips the alarm, but some times it barley opens. It's enough to keep the fridge motor running constantly to fight the rising temp in the fridge. I spent a long time trying to find the optimal gap for the alarm, one that would set it off under all conditions, but almost all, but not quite was the best I could get. Then you have to consider what happens when the batteries start to discharge. Does that effect the signal strength ?
So, I have to go with the temperature alarm in the fridge. I'll keep the fridgee, but have a plan B for that barely opened door

LuckyLucyLuckyLucy: This is a very nice door alerter. I have issues with fridges not being properly shut due to kids. They claim they close it but they slam it so hard it doesn't stay shut. For deep freezer I have it doesn't have a door alarm built in so this is a good retrofit.
Takes LR44 batteries. Comes installed. Uses basically magnet based contact. Need to be close by around 1 cm to consider door closed.
When the door is open. It beeps to remind you to shut the door. After some time the siren chirps a bit. Loudly. Then it gets louder and longer to remind you to shut the door. I like the volume. It's LOUD. Just what I need.
My only wish would've been to use AAA batteries, not LR44 cells. It's just cheaper that way.

ben: Bon produit qui pallie à l'absence d'avertisseur de porte ouverte de mon frigo (pourtant récent ....)
A peine la porte est entre-ouverte il émet un petit bip qui devient plus fort au bout d'une minute.
L'installation est simple.

Li'ora: Our family wondered why our ice maker would melt over and over again… turns out we would accidentally leave the refrigerator door open. Who would have thought a product was already made to give us a solution to our problem.
And when the alarm does go off… it is loud. It beeps as a warning, but then it really does get your attention. So far, it has stuck to the refrigerator and not moved or slid, and because of the color choices it blends very well.
Thoughtful and nifty little invention. Well worth the money when we think of how many times we have broken our freezer compartment.

Comment expliquer cela ?

Bob Weil: My door close spring broke on my viking ice box. If the light goes off but the door is open no sound from ice box alarm due to the spring normally closes door if it being slightly open. Pulled the plastic tab and got no sound from this device. Checked batteries one was totally dead, lucky my caliper uses the LR44 and put in three new batteries. Works great! Yea I'm old, its an ice box. The door spring is $800, requires four men to move ice box out from wall to replace this is a heck of a lot cheaper.

David Marks: It's the worst feeling waking up to your morning coffee, going to grab the creamer only to find that the fridge wasn't completely shut last night. Having to Google what you have to throw out when the food reaches 46 degrees(yes - we risked it on some things, and no we didn't get sick).
Leaving the fridge open at my house only happens once every several years, but it's so stressful when it does that I figured there must be some sort of alarm out there that we could use. I saw the FRIDGGI and some off brands on Amazon. This one appears to be specifically for the fridge, whereas the off brands appear to be designed to be multi-purpose. This one was a few dollars more, but I wanted something that had a brand name backing it.
I did some testing on the counter before I actually mounted it to the fridge, so I had piece of mind. You have different settings that aren't incredibly intuitive, but they aren't so different that you would "choose the wrong setting" per se. It has a pin-point red LED that will light up when you open the fridge and will give you a bit of a chirp nudge when you have it open for a minute. The chirps get louder and more intrusive once you start getting...

NomadTurk: Looks like a quality made product. No doubt about it however, Di-Di sound is NOT loud at all, it is so hard to hear in fact. It will alarm loud after 120 second . ! ! ! But I wish Di-Di sound was loud as well. (I am using these on showcase doors in retail setup for extra security. Because sometime sales persons leaves showcase doors open)
