Blu: This was my second purchase of these particular boots. Still have have my first pair, tan color wear them for gardening, hiking, or if I need that color. Will likely have these for just as long, a few years till I destroy them. Best part of these boots is the traction they give me. I haven't slipped or lost a footing in them yet. Don't like the laces that they come with but you can easily change that out. Overall a great bargain for my needs.

Luke: Seem well built and quality compared to the hundred or more others I looked at. I’ve only warn once so time will tell. Will update if I have any issues to share.

Foxx: So first let me say, for the price these are great boots. This style they have waterproof and non waterproof. For me I view this more as summer and winter. This review is for the non waterproof. They’re well made but the non waterproof does run a little looser. Sticking in an orthotic insole fixes that quick. They don’t have the best arch support but the orthotic fixes that too. I’m on my feet on concrete 8-12 hours a day. These do just as well as something like Nike AF1. Being on the thinner side they break in fast and move really well. I really have no complaints at all. The insole is the only issue for me. Which again is an easy fix. The most important thing to consider with these is price. You can absolutely get much better boots. For a much higher price though. I wouldn’t pay over $100 for them. I would go Magnum or Bates. Free soldier themselves also have more high end (and pricey) options. I have yet to find a pair of tactical style boots made this well for the price. An afterthought, being suede and not so bulky. You can wear these in many ways. The suede makes them seem almost, idk, dressy ? Ok not but again. Absolutely solid boots at a great price.

Yi-Sen Wang: I am 5'7" tall, weigh 60 kilograms, and purchased size 8.5 shoes this time. I work as a mountain ecology guide, and these shoes are up to the task of my job (I walk at least 15 kilometers every day). Although they have a simple appearance, Free Soldier has demonstrated their excellent design in cushioning insoles, making them very comfortable overall. Additionally, the 6-inch height of the boots offers better breathability compared to my other 8-inch boots while still providing excellent waterproofing (I bought the thick version with a higher shoe collar). In the mountains, there is often dew in the morning and at night, occasional rain, and water puddles, but overall, these shoes perform well. I would rate the traction of the outsole as 4/5 on rocky terrain (3.5/5 when wet), 4.5/5 on muddy and leafy surfaces (3/5 when wet), and as for those pesky moss-covered paths, you know how it is.

KaleighKaleigh: My fiancé works in landscaping 70 hours a week. We usually buy a specific boot that’s around $80-$100 depending on the sale but it wasn’t available when he needed it so we bought these. Mind you his other boots usually last almost a full year to a whole year.
These only lasted 3 months before he was ripping out of them. Now we actually bought another pair because the price is fair and we couldn’t afford anything more right now so it works. He says they are really comfy and at first kept his feet dry. We did have a more wet season in Florida than usual so could be the culprit. He also works the goodness out of his shoes so not a lot is probably up to that kind of work. But this will be the last time we buy these just because for $30-$40 more dollars we can have something that lasts a lot longer. But for now we didn’t have that extra to pay.
So the takeaway is they are great shoes if you need something cheaper. If your not in the elements might hold up a lot longer. Maybe you work outside but in a dryer climate could be fine too. Just keep this in mind- for the time he has been able to wear them he said they were really comfy just wish they were higher quality...

Mark choosonMark chooson: The boot fits good. It's waterproof. However it looks like the pair they sent were worn previously. Laces were knotted and treads dirty.
Beware the seller!

survival mansurvival man: Purchased these boots not long ago and have wore them for around 2 months and have worn them Monday to Thursday for the last month and have noticed the back on one boot has started to rip (see above photo) the boots were nice and easy on the feet for walking all day. If the company would like to fix this issue and send a replacement pair that would be nice and redeem my faith in this company.

Cengiz T: Felt weird for a bit. One shoe felt great the other needed adjustment. In the end i guess I broke them in? Great in rain. And small puddles. Its going strong 2 months in. Other shoes usually give out.
