Nancy Whitley: I've been using this brand of unscented litter for 19 years for my cat and it's the best. I've tried several others but this one has less tracking, truly is unscented and clumps nicely. I scoop the boxes every morning and have had absolutely no problems with odor. Only problem is that when I first got my cat 19 years ago the litter was sold in a 14lb box which was perfect then they changed it to a 20 lb box not so easy then they threw in a 40 lb box which is ridiculous unless you're a body builder. Now they have a 26 lb box and for a 78 year old woman that's difficult, very difficult. They need to offer a 14 lb box again for the older generation.

Darlene Schubert: This stuff is AWFUL! It used to be grey and somewhat coarse, but now it's like sugar sand - white and very fine. Been buying A&H Clumping for years with no problem. Ordered the 26.3 lb.instead of the 40 lb. box cause it was such a 'good deal'. The last 40 lb I ordered was a couple months ago and all was as usual - grey somewhat coarse and it was business as usual. Well, these 3 new boxes - the 26.3 - are terrible! It's practically white, and the consistency of sugar sand (found here on the FL Gulf coast) or just plain table sugar, but even finer. It doesn't clump as well either - no hard clumps; sticks to the bottom of the litter box AND leaves sizable 'crumbles' behind that fall through the slats in the scooper. Also, it doesn't last as long as the grey/coarser type - I'm going through a box a week which is ridiculous. Even though it does seem to cover the odor well when kitsey-rolls and urine are still IN the box, after scooped, well, there is an 'odor' left behind which is reminiscent of the Ladies Room at the Port Authority Buss Terminal. Nerdy Woman: This litter was recommended by a friend when we were getting ready to bring home our first fur baby (actually a 1.5 yr old). I placed the order but it wasn't scheduled to arrive until a few days after the cat so I figured I'd pick up a smaller box at the supermarket. They only carried the 40 lb. box of this litter, so I bought a smaller box of something else. That other litter was one of those lightweight scented litters and it was awful. The scent was cloying and the lightweight material apparently didn't give kitty the right feel as she worked to cover her poop.

THIS litter is AWSOME! As I said, we are first time cat possessions and I was concerned about our small apartment smelling like a litter box. Kitty has been in residence for nearly 2 months now and we have zero odor from the litter box. We scoop frequently (we're more the flush the toilet after use vs. once a day kind of people) and use a litter genie so that may augment the odor control of the baking soda. This litter gives kitty the feeling of sand as she works to cover poop, there is very little dust when we pour new litter, and it doesn't stick to her paws.
