Steven Kuhnley: I was going on a trip & picked up this book so I had something to read in the plane. I read this book before Have A Nice Day and was really impressed at how well Mick wrote and how well all his stories flowed.

M. R. Schumacher: Looking forward to reading it. Mick Foley is a fine writer who gets the reader involved from pg.1. and does'nt let them get away till the last page.

MarioX720: I picked this book up after reading Foley's first book "Have a Nice Day" for a second time. I absolutely love that book and recommend anyone reading this book pick that one up first as he refers it a lot in this book. While I feel that this book is great in its own right. In particular Foley's chapter on Brian is one of the most touching things I have read in a long time. There is less of an emphasis on wrestling in this book, but this book is great with the PTC chapter at the end of the book being really compelling. I do recommend people read his first book first for better context to some stories in this book.

Jayson A Olson: I admit I devoured his first book in a matter of days and was very excited when I heard about the second book. Though I wondered, what could Mick Foley say to fill another 400 pages that wasn't covered in the first book?
Well, there's plenty and I'm convinced he could write a third book with more on the road stories. I enjoyed this book with almost the same enthusiasm as the first, however, Mick does have a few moments of personal agenda tangents that seem to disrupt the pace of the book. (More on that later).
So what is 'Foley Is Good' about? Mick Foley takes a more of a personal reflection on his life and ideals outside of his time in wrestling. Don't get me wrong, this book is still clearly about wrestling as an industry, but more of a reflective look on how wrestling is interpreted by the media and watchdog organizations. He infuses his stories and observations with facts and side notes that are very interesting and enlightening. Why doesn't the media ever take these angles?
The primary focus of this book is about the remainder of his career from winning the WWF heavyweight title the 1st time through his retirement. WE read about the mental decisions and struggles of...

Adam: Once again, Mick Foley gives us just what we want: another glimpse into the wild and crazy world of professional wrestling. As an avid wrestling fan, I thought the book was great. As a reader, I thought his previous work (Have A Nice Day!) told more interesting stories and was a bit more original. Despite him giving cheap pops to my hometown (Springfield, MA), the book seemed a bit scattered. While less than half of the book was related to his actual wrestling (only two years), some of it was social commentary about backyard wrestling and the social ramifications of sports entertainment. I would say, though, the majority of the book was clearly the evolution of his first literary effort, which was interesting, but I would have preferred some more wrestling topics. The essay portion (In Defense of the WWF) was a good read, but by no means do I want to plow through it again. If you have read Have A Nice Day!, this is an essential read. If you haven't, read it, then find out why Foley is Good.
