James A. Walker: A good guide to help identification while I was on Safari in Kenya, and when labeling photos when I returned home.

George F. Walker: I used this throughout Kenya and Tanzania while on Safari. Everyone in our Land Cruiser was thankful to see closeup pics of the birds we were seeing. The laminate was great to keep clean and it was used multiple times a day! I even checked off the birds as we saw them. Could easily write on it with a pen. Highly recommend!

Dawn E: I took this field guide to Africa last fall, and I used it every day - and it got passed around the jeep to other folks on the tour who wanted to look up birds they photographed. The drawings are good in that they show key features or colours that differentiate the birds from each other. I used this pamplet more than the wildlife one that I also took with us, and was very happy to have it. I highly recommend this if visiting Kenya and Tanzania. We saw most of these birds!

fitnwell: Great bird guide for anyone going on safari in East Africa. And it's laminated so it won't get damaged in a day bag.

PINAK DUTTA: Good and handy for travellers. Not too much detail though but definitely helps during safaris. But too costly

Sunset Sue: I took this pocket guide with me for our trip to Tanzania. I also bought the Birds of East Africa guide but being that we were limited to 33 pounds due to bush plane restrictions, I was unable to pack it as the book was very large and heavy. That’s where the pocket guide came in handy. I put it in my day pack and used it to identify almost all of the common birds. Luckily our first guide was bird knowledgeable so he could identify the less common birds. I wrote the names down and when we came home I marked the birds we saw in the big book. Before we left Tanzania, I gave the pocket guide to our second guide who wasn’t quite as bird knowledgeable as our first one.

kim: It's a useful guide for beginners and novices- I'm quite advanced and I expected more for the price.
However, it's a lovely little fold out to use whilst out in the field instead of carrying a book :)
