Though it is on the heavier side when also carrying a backpack, it is nowhere near as bulky as the electric scooters. As a kick scooter, the deck is comfortable to use when riding around campus and I can easily get to locations in under 5 minutes especially downhill for distances 0.5-0.7 miles long. The wheels do make a small sound when pushed down but I believe those are just the bearings when riding the actual scooter. The strap is only helpful if you are not wearing a backpack but otherwise it is always nice to have! I really like the foldability of the handles and how the shaft of the scooter has a place to lock them in. The foldability of the actual scooter itself sometimes is finicky but I learned if its pushed forward then the button is pushed, it will fold over (definitely much easier to fold compared to its counterparts). Usually, my scooter can fit in between and/or under lecture hall seats which is also a bonus. The brake is fairly efficient as it stops quite quickly, though I notice some wear already even though its been less than three weeks (note that my campus has a lot of downhills with steep...

KAB: The scooter was a last-minute gift that arrived on time and in one piece. After a few days of use, it seems to be holding up well.

Daniel: The LaScoota is a quality scooter. It looks great, brakes well, and rides well. The hand grips do an excellent job of absorbing energy, making for a smooth ride.
However, the scooter is a noisy ride. It ratlles a lot, especially compared to our Razor A5 DLX. Also, the red button used to fold and unfold is terribly hard to slide, making this scooter hard to fold even for an adult.
This is definitely a kids scooter too. The handlebars do not raise to the appropriate height, even for my wife, who is under 5’5”.
While a solid competitor, we ended up returning it an getting the Razor with the inflatable tires.

Kannan: My 9 year old kid using it for the last 3-4 months when she goes to school in shine/rain.
She used to handle it bit rough, but still the scooter looks as new as it was on day one.

LisaLisa: It's practically rideable right out of the box. You just have to insert the handle bars and adjust the stem height. Super Easy. The whole thing feels solid and sturdy without being heavy at all. I own a bike and wanted to add another low impact exercise to my routine. I figured this would be a great leg and glute workout.
Here's what I liked:
Good sized deck, comfortable handle bars, nice grip, easy to adjust stem height, kick stand doesn't interfere with the foot kicking on that side, easy to open and fold, light enough to carry and lift into my trunk with one hand.
Here are my issues:
1. no suspension and the wheels do not do well over anything on the sidewalk. If there was a stray piece of gravel, the wheel would slip. The traction isn't great.
2. The rougher the surface the the more vibration you feel. This probably wouldn't be noticeable to a kid or teen or someone without joint issues, but my body was buzzing when I got off.
It really is a good scooter, especially for the price, which is why I still gave it 5 stars. I just need something with good suspension and air filled tired to help mitigate the vibration. I think this scooter will work for...

Jody: I got the yellow Teen sized scooter. The yellow is a nice almost safety yellow color, though not quite as bright. The visibility is great!
The size is perfect for me at 5'4 120 pounds and a size 7 womens' shoe. If your feet are larger or you are over 150 pounds, I'd suggest sizing up to the adult size.
It rides nice. Easy to handle and can pick up some decent speed. It is very lightweight (less than 10 pounds) so I was worried it would feel chinzy, but it's pretty solid. Not like a heavy electric scooter, but great for the weight.
It's so easy to fold up and take with you! I use it for quick trips to the store and sometimes, instead of locking it up outside, I just carry it in with me. It's also great for the gym.
It's absolutely perfect for public transportation. I live just far enough from a SunRail station that walking takes too long, but driving and parking is a pain. Not only does this make getting there quicker, but (unlike a bike) i can fold it up and sit anywhere. Whith a bike I have to stay on the bottom of the train.
This was a really great buy!

John O'Reilly: Things I like:
* folds very quickly, easy to carry and get on/off transit, solid but not too heavy
* Attractive--doesn't look like a kid's scooter, more like an e-scooter
* Super easy to assemble, well designed in general
* Rides well, fits my height (5'10")
* Great value
Things I'd tweak (but not enough of an issue to knock it down a star):
* Deck could be a little wider, a little hard to switch kick feet while riding
* Squeaks a little bit
* I'd prefer hand brakes
Overall would definitely recommend. A good first choice if you're not sure what kind of mobility device you'll want longer term; I was thinking about an e-scooter or foldable e-bike and got this for a start and am glad I did to familiarize myself with roads. Even if I eventually get a more expensive device I could see myself using this when I want some light exercise.
