Comments

Lee: Book was shipped in a large loose bag which further damaged the already heavily worn book.
Book was described as lightly used in good condition, but was heavily worn with bent spine.

Philip T.: This is a well-written and expansive book covering many, many flowering crops. Some sections are more through than others depending on what the can be found in scientific literature.

For popular species you will find a brief description of their importance in commerce, suggestions for media pH and nutritional program, foliage nutritional analysis of healthy tissue, growth regulators and rates that are effective, the conditions for flowering, is a pinch or bisbud is required or optional, light requirements, and common physiological and pathological disorders. Really the next best thing to having experience with the crop in question.

For less popular species some of this information is missing but what is given is useful and supported with references.

Karen Coleman: Great Book, just big. I personally had Dr. Dole as a professor when I was in college. Some of the information is a little bit out of date now, but it is still a great resource.
