DeadHeadCyclerDeadHeadCycler: I recommend this downspout for many odd drainage connections. This connection allowed for flexibility that would have taken so many different elbows of 22 1/2°, 45° and 90° fittings to connect the downspouts plus an adapter to fit a 4 inch Schedule 40 PVC pipe. The pitch was such and at an angle that I had to overcome just by about an inch and a half slope over 10 feet to make it run out to the driveway and to the sidewalk so the water would not run backwards from where I was having problems. The flex allowed it to be offset about 3 inches which I needed. Plus the approximate almost 90° angle of attachment. So for less than $10 and a concrete block lying around and some baling wire I have secured my downspout to a 4 x 4 that was approximately 10 inches away. The baling wire was very stiff and thick. Plus it is another thing that I happen to have along with the pipe. One of two in this scenario and I am so pleased I have happen to run across this flexible item again it is flexible and gives me a lot of options to insert into the bell end of the pipe though it may also insert into the spigot and of the pipe as well i.e. the straight portion of the pipe. Sunny116: This just slipped right on nice and snug. It took me longer to remove the screws and older unit than it did to install this one! Used with product Flex Drain 54021 4x8 hose to replace the old metal ones. These are far better. I was able to snap on the 4" end to the 3" extension without use of coupler. The adapter is all one piece, flexible and you can direct it much easier than metal ones. Once snapped into the 4x8 hose, it diverts water away from house with ease.

Rich H.: Quality product, but I wish they included the length in the write-up; it only expands to 16". One of the questions in the Q&As asks how long it expands to. The answer says 48". That was exactly what I needed, so I bought it. Imagine my surprise when I found it only expands to 16" -- it says so right on the label. I went back to that Q&A and clicked on "See more answers" under that question only to find the same person who originally answered the question posted again saying that he made a mistake and measured the wrong one. They should remove his first answer to prevent accidental purchases like mine. His first answer was so definitive I didn't see the need to look at more answers.
