Flex-Drain 51710: Flexible and Expandable Landscaping Drainage Pipe

MB: As others have noted, these arrived perforated, not solid. They appear to be labeled incorrectly. Returned because perforated was not what was ordered and does not work with our application.

David Smith: Flex-Drain Flexible Landscaping Drain Pipe System

I have mixed feelings about this line of product. It is relatively inexpensive, pretty easy to install and for the most part, it does what it's supposed to.

I do however have complaints. While many components are readily available they fail to tell you that the components won't go together unless you buy the coupler (55020 Drain Pipe Coupler). Without this critical piece you end up trying to connect pieces that are male on both sides and will not interlock with each other.

Secondly I question the long term durability of this system as it is somewhat fragile and damages easily. In fact while stretching it out with my bare hands I was able to overstretch a few parts causing some crumpling which creates a weakened spot. I also have had the coupled pcs. pop apart and while snapping them back together is relatively easy it is a pain in the butt.

Frank F.: This product absolutely met all of my expectations. It is very durable as well as flexible and helps to steer water away from the foundation of my home. I have used similar downspout extenders in the past, but their construction and flexibility don't compare to the Flex-Drain line. I will certainly purchase more of these if or as needed in the future.

NickNick: The media could not be loaded.    Such a good deal. I ended up adding the adapter and coupler (got those at home depot, though, they were cheaper. I think I must've had other stuff boost the cost and gotten free shipping though, otherwise they wouldn't have been. Big mistake, anyway, HD takes like 2 weeks to get it to you.

Britty: Water no longer backs into the garage. We have one corner of the garage where a drain pipe is and when it rains it comes in. I got this just in time before a big storm and it saved us a big mess. Very easy to set up and angle. Highly recommended!

I did not bury it, I simply hooked it to the gutter extension and then hooked it to the gutter and voila! We have not had any leaks from the pipe and the extension. Hooking to the drain pipe fits snugly onto the gutter. Absolutely perfect and quick and easy.
